It's not what i did to my S550, it's what it did to me....
it put a smile on my face.

after work, i did 2 1/4 mile runs with a Dragy. it's weird that both were "invalid" due to low satellites and the other to data loss.

these Continental extreme contact sport 02's are amazing...welcome to the "no spin zone"
my best time with the previous wheel/tire setup on the street was 13.35 @ 111

tonight's first 2 runs with the new setup were 12.77 and 12.63...hoping these still count

Got mine back from my mechanic yesterday evening. It drives and sounds like it should now :) Texas Speed catted long tubes, a JLT intake, and a Wengerd 93 octane tune. Night and day different, especially the sound :)

Woke it up from it's winter slumber. Got my new wheels on and took it for a drive!

Wheels are from LMR. SVE SP2. Tires are Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02. I think I like these better than the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (MPS4S has much thicker rim protection though). I got wider wheels and lost 32 lbs of unspung weight. I'm surprised by the difference in how the car seems to soak up road imperfections and is less jarring now. I also like the fact I can clean the calipers without removing the wheels.

Front: 10" (+35 offset), 285/35R19
Rear: 11" (+50 offset), 325/30R19

Off topic: The paint on this car blows me away. Same lighting, same time of day, just different angles and the car changes shades.

Drove it to work on one of the nicer days. This is the time of the year when we get alternating extreme snowstorms and then spring weather. Gotta love El Nino years. Looking forward for the day when I can finally put the summers back on...

Love that "5.0" from the OEM cover ! Where you able to re-use the original attachments ?
Yes I took the cover and cut the "wings" off with a Sawzall and drilled the rivets under the 5.0 badge. Then it just pops back on with the rubber grommets. Very easy to do.

Looks awesome. We have very similar cars and cosmetic mods, I was 90% sure of going with the gloss black SP2s, now I'm 100%

i'm still feeling the imperfections in the road. same tires, but 275/40R19 up front and 295/35R19 in the rear. i lost about 52 pounds of unsprung weight. maybe i need better shocks and struts.
i was blown away on how well these tires hooked. it was a chilly 60 degrees, advance-trac off and no burn out and still no spin and stayed straight.

Oh the tires provide great feedback of the road surface. They just seem to be not as harsh or "crashy" as the PP1 wheels were. I can feel a definite improvment of road feedback and handling. As for traction, I'm happy to hear they are hooking nicely. I'm waiting for the weather to warm up more before pushing the tires.

You want jarring I'll take you for a ride in Ella this summer. Auto gear changes in SPORT+, TRACK and DRAG mode are jarring AF after the Roush tune.

Your ride looks great man! Those rims be lookin' goooooood!!!!

Monday: Wired in my CTEK so I no longer have to take the battery cover off and do all that mickey mouse stuff with the clips. Life is so much easier now.

Today I took her for a drive to the LCBO and let her stretch her legs a bit. Supposed to rain in the coming days so back into the garage she went.

Sunday I'm going to hand clean the engine bay so I can get it prepped to go have the front grill inserts swapped out end of April and then off to get a fresh coat of Ceramic Coating May 1st.

Still debating on the 17" F14 Beadlocks + Mickey Thompson ET Street SS as that's another like $3000+ CDN (or $100.00 USD lol)

9 months and 6 days since breaking the ring land on #6 piston, she's back running. I am having a very hard time getting into 2nd gear . Not sure if the Barton Hybrid 3 needs tweaking or the clutch still needs to bleed some more. It's a Vengeance stage 2 with a new braided line and new slave cylinder. Its got about 60 miles on it so TOTALLY not broken in yet, but it is concerning at this point. Other than that, going to do the first break in oil and filter change at 250 miles in the next day or 2, then do another one this week at 500 miles, then keep going to 750 miles to break in the clutch. Hopefully by then we will have the 2nd gear issue worked out so I can get working on data logging and tweaking the 93 tune, then onto tuning for ethanol...💪
