Is anyone running MAK cat deletes on their boosted car? I just got a brand new set for my car and want to hear anyones knowledge and opinions on it. Was going to get Kooks Green catted 2inch headers but didnt feel like spending $2,300 plus install on them

I’m am running a set and love them. I set up my stock cats to be able to bolt right back in so I can swap them in 20 minutes whenever I need to. To me the extra few horse power weren’t worth the fitment and smog issues of long tubes.

I'm on my second pair. Had them on my 15 now on my 19. Wouldn't waste money on LTH. I make between 740whp to 950whp depending on pulley size no problem.

I agree. I have them on my 19' ProCharged GT and they are great. Just be ready for a lot of extra noise compared to the OEM mid pipe with CATs. I have the active exhaust and find myself using "quite mode" almost exclusively.

Glad I dont feel like im 'cheaping' out by using them. According to their website on boosted applications you can gain 30-40rwhp off of them. Seriously didnt feel like paying $3,000 for the Kooks headers and the install

I've been eyeing them for a while. I would love swapping them back in for emissions. How would it affect the tune? Would it require 2 tunes?

I think a lot of people are running longtubes both catted and catless on stock whipple tunes with no issues. So the MAK cat deletes should be just fine without aftermarket tune. I think if you want to maximize the cat deletes though power wise a custom tune is the best bet.

Just replace the stock resonator with the magnaflow resonated tru X.
It’s perfect .

how are you bolting you cat back in? I thought on 15-17 cars you have to cut the driver side cat out to put in these cat deletes?

On my car I used a 2014 driver side header so a 2014 cat bolts up to it. I connected the 14 cat to my 15 pipe and it fits perfect. I’ll try and grab some pics.

Or when you cut the drivers side cat off you can weld a flange back to the cat piece that matches up the flange you weld onto the drivers header. Then can just swap between the two no prob. I ran the MAK deletes for quite a while then when sold the car bolted the cat back on just like the passenger side and put a stock catback on.

You guys think im going to need put resonators on my car when I install the MAK Cat deletes? I have roush axle backs and the ford racing resonator delete x pipe on my car right now, but when I installed the whipple it got alot louder. Wondering if its going to be undriveably loud if i dont put some type of resonator on.

Im happy with mine. Same boat as above, i have it set up so its 4 bolts and i can swap the cats back in. I put in two 3" vibrant resonators when I did mine. Sounds great with my stainlessworks cat back
