Many on this thread care so there's that. However I do agree majority of owners won't utilize the car for what it is. Unlike me and many on this forum, we aim to extract as much as we can from performance cars. And to people like myself it is rather disappointing.1- can anyone reference exactly wheere it says governeed to 180?
2- who cares. 180 is above the reach and control of 99.9% of people, let-alone actual owners.
Apparently not.Isn't the top of 5th 175mph in a standard GT350? I thought the R was ~168mph because of the smaller diameter wheels.
Nope. The car is fine the way it is.I didn't say they won't but I doubt Tom would.
I pretty much do. Minimal mods.I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL THE GT500 HITS THE PUBLIC SO THIS BICKERING AND WHINING STOPS.
If you don’t like the cobra emblem, don’t buy it.
If you don’t like the DCT, don’t buy it.
If you don’t like that the governed speed may be 180, don’t buy it or tune it out.
If you don’t like the gloss black front bumper, don’t buy it or paint / wrap it.
It’s a god damn mustang. No body keeps them factory stock!
What was wrong with it?Mu GT350 would do no more than 166 mph. That was all she would do.
LOL. Dunno. Maybe a head wind the few times I tried it. She would never break 166. Pedal firmly planted on the floor. What was wrong with it?
The throttle foot does get a little light when the pucker factor enters into play.
Unless they know something I don't, they are talking out of their ass. Nowhere in this press release did Ford acknowledge that 180 was governed- Plus they misquoted the press release in regards to downforce so theres that.
what tracks are capable letting one hitting 180mph with a car that does 130mph stock? Many on this thread care so there's that. minimal. a simple tune, hell a $2 resistor eliminates a top speedI pretty much do. Minimal mods.
I was stating that I never found a need to tune or do any major mods to any of my R's. Ford performance did one hell of a job.what tracks are capable letting one hitting 180mph with a car that does 130mph stock?

I never got to 166, but Ford did do a good job. Mine had plenty of pedal left.I was stating that I never found a need to tune or do any major mods to any of my R's. Ford performance did one hell of a job.
As for the 166mph, something was wrong or the guy ran out of real estate. (Or maybe less than 93 octane?)
Texas Mile, Arkansas Mile, WannaGoFast, Shift-Sector, and NoFlyZone events to name a few.what tracks are capable letting one hitting 180mph with a car that does 130mph stock?
