The Camaro has always catered to the GM crowd and i seriously doubt the 2.0 is going to have a heavy impact on sales, there are not too many enthusiast looking to buy a 4; They are looking at the ss, Becky D on the other forum said that not to many were looking for the v6, only ss. That is not a good sign. The way that GM handled the roll out of the new 6g is partly to blame, whoever thought it was a good idea to roll out there "bread and butter" engine late was really a horrible decision. The 2.0 also requires premium, (ecoboost can run on both) so 2.0 owners are going to be spending more on gas period. Good luck with that GM.

Agreed and especially with women it will sell a lot of it for DD.

If their Turbo has some absurd #s they are going to sell a bunch of these to modders. If it blows the EB out of the water then they'll sell even more.
I doubt it. They will buy the V6 just like they always have. The only thing currently giving the turbo 6th Gen credibility is the EBM. It is going to appeal to 2 types; those who love turbo cars and want a turbo RWD platform, and people who want to try something "different". Those people will be trading their cars within the first few months, similar to the EB. The average buyer or women will avoid the turbo car due to "reliability" and "maintenance". The only chance the turbo has with the 6th Gen is if they take the V6 out of inventory and flood dealerships with turbo cars.

Because Camaros barely were on lots IF AT ALL.

The local Chevy dealers around here in NOVA only had one LT on the lot through the 1st week of December. Another had one LT and one SS.

At Xmas up in Western MD where I went to visit, they didn't even have 1 on the lot at the local dealer...still hadn't gotten their 1st one in. They FINALLY got 3 in last week.

Ford bar none got their cars to lots faster the first few months.

...all I'm saying is wait till we can get a full month of actual inventory on lots to get a real comparison drawn.
Actually cars.com show over 5,000 camaros nationwide. I doubt it has much to do with availability.

With over 3000 dealerships, that's less then 2 cars per dealer. So not much of a choice for color, options, engine, and most of all, price.

And 18,000+ 2016 Mustangs....so yes it does have to do with availability.

3x as many Mustangs as Camaros...like many have said on here...you cannot make any real comparisons till they have all 3 models and inventory on the lot.

IF they somehow start outselling Mustang with only the V8 and V6 on the lots then that would be scary...

I doubt it. The EB people on here that traded up are on an enthusiasts forum and most likely got flustered by the comments most make on here that either rag on their EB or it's not a Mustang without a V8...sure you'll have a few on the Camaro side, but the majority are not going to be trading their 4 cylinder Mustang or Camaro.

Agreed, However if it was such a "hot seller or sought after" I would imagine those 5000+ cars should be sold. Compared to mustang this doesn't look so good for GM. Becky D on the other forum has already stated that there's hardly any interest in the V6 model which GM is going to need those sales.

Maybe but if sales are V8s even better for GM...and all the magazines are saying the SS is the best car for your $$$ and the one to get....so that could be why there is less interest in the V6.

You are just selectively reading and missing the point entirely. Your sole purpose for being on this forum is to argue at this point. I specifically stated the people who want to try something "different" will be trading their cars in. This is based on historical trends, unlike your assessment of the 2.0T being top seller.

Do you think comments about the turbo 6th Gen are going to be welcoming and inviting?

Hey, It's not our fault GM doesn't know how to roll out a product correctly. I mean the base model should have been available from the get go no? So are you going to say the Mustang is going to outsell the Camaro this year?
What we can do though is look at the 2 launches between Camaro and Mustang and so far the Camaro sales are already lagging.

Magazines do not vote with there wallets customers do. MT car of the year has become a joke, actually its become a sales generator for whatever car it is.

I never believed the camaro would outsell the mustang from the very beginning...people care more about looks.

I know it's still early and people will say give it a couple months before sales start increasing....

even then, I don't believe the Camaro will outsell the mustang in 2016.
I always believed this when first see 6G roll out, not much impact in look. And look sell just like sex sales

another thing that hasn't really happened yet is the 2.0. I think that will help a bit for the Camaro. But I still do not see it beating the S550.
its dosen't matter what camaro have under hood its only important for very small diehard fans. A large public care when they buy cars are affordability, looks, comfort, drivability, and lastly performance

With over 3000 dealerships, that's less then 2 cars per dealer. So not much of a choice for color, options, engine, and most of all, price.
If camaro are hot seller then there would not be any new camaro on the lot if few dealers only have 1-2 on their lot.

In a few more months if 6g camaro don't do well in sales we'll see 7g camaro before 7g mustang.

It also depends if the cars are on the lot. Near me are 3 dealers which show over 15 2016 on there listings as being in stock, yet when you go to the cars, all but one say there in transit. So dealers are putting down that they have them, but there actually not there yet, but coming.

Seeing as the 2.0t puts out at the Crank (275hp/295tq) what the average 2.3T puts out at the wheels (279hp/295tq).
According to Chevytrend er Motortrend

I imagine it's going to look like this
