Jeff_oddo Can you post a video with it at idle and some small revs by chance?

Exactly what my dilema is with Procharger. I have read too many threads about the tunes being really bad, which honestly the tune part doesn't bother me as I will have a custom tune. I also hear people having to grind portions because of the belt. This should not be the case and really bothers me.
I would get a remote tune from Lund before a custom tune from Pro Dyno, especially since you have an auto. The Lund tune is a sure thing, just take a few datalogs to make sure everything looks good. I'm north of Charlotte, can help if needed. Also, Boosted Performance in Mooresville is excellent, they've installed several blowers on 15+ GT's, mine has yet to have its first problem, can't beat their service and pricing.

We send out a bunch of these systems everyday.
The tunes have been very solid for a good while now.

The first kits out the door, had some issues with specific calibration IDs
And took a while to get fixed (we had to get one of those cars here)

Recently one random guy had the cams locked (truly bizarre)
However other then him, all has been well.

As far as custom tuning with either our system, or vortech/paxton
The systems are nearly identical, so that part shouldn't matter.
It all comes down to the tuner with these cars.
Both systems are nearly identical to tune (other then MAF curve)

I actually like the whistle sound from centris, some dont but i think it sounds cool. Do the paxton make the same sound as the procharger vids on page 1 of this thread?

Actually I just did a car with 1000's in it and a STG2 system, and it drives/starts/runs like a total champ. :) Its a daily driver with way to much power for these cold streets. LOL.

My Paxton is pretty quiet... They are helical style gears unlike the straight cut gears in the Prochargers. You can still hear the whistle slightly though. You hear the bypass valve more than anything. And when I had my Vortech Max Flow race blow off valve it sounded like a damn jet engine. Lol

We make TWO units.

Helical cut gears (the serial numbers end in an "H")
Strait cut gears (normal 5 digit serial number)

The customer can tell us which gears he wants.
And also with the strait gears we can make them louder if a customer wants.

The car I drive is so quite you can't hear the blower.
Can't even hear the bypass valve since the filter is still on the end of it.
Take the filter off the bypass valve, and they make a good "Whoooooosh" noise.

Is the filter on the bypass only to make it quiet?
Thats half the reason.

The other reason is literally the army of people on the internet that actually thought if you didn't have a filter on it, then dust would get in the motor. We got literally SOOOOOOOO many hate filled posts about it on the internet, we just decided to throw on a cheap filter to stop hearing about it.

Obviously anyone with a Tial, or Race Valve, or ANY surge/bypass valve knows air goes OUT of it, not IN. But hey.... can't win them all.

So it also made it a little more quite, and some people liked that, so it was a WIN - WIN. (but still totally un-needed)

ZERO.

And both units are tested in very cold climates for longevity for the industrial usage and military applications they are used in. ;) So they are very very very strong gearboxes.
