What does your 5.0 GT weigh?

I weighed my 2015 GT PP 300A with 275 9.5" front wheels with a full tank at 3827 lbs. Seemed kind of high to me, but I had nothing else in it other than trivial glove box stuff and change. Weighed it at Roebling Road Raceway. Sounds like the car needs a diet!

That does seem high for a 300A car. The scale may be a little off, you should be sub 3800 lbs for sure.

Seems high because you had a full tank of gas.
1 gallo=8 pounds
16 gallons=128 lbs

So if you only had one gallon then:
3827-120=3,707lbs, then it does not seem so bad.

My 2015 Base Auto weighed 3704lbs with a full tank of gas.

Our 2016 Camaro SS, weighed 3705lbs with a full tank and every option. DOH

My '16 GTPP Premium 400a, in stock trim with magnaflow catback was 3780 lb with just shy of 1/2 tank of fuel and no driver.

I also have slightly heavier 9.5" PP front wheels. I figured a full tank is about the only way to have a consistent comparision too. I may try a cat scale next time I pass one. They just charge $20 though

I've heard sometimes it's possible to pull into a weigh station at night when nobodys around and look through the window to see the weight of the car...
