Nice that track is about 30 minutes away from me. I'll definitely be making some passes once I get mine.

Likeaboss, it's pretty windy up here today (10-17 mph), do you know if the wind was with/against or across the track? Not saying it added or subtracted 10-17mph or anything crazy like that but just curious if it was a headwind.

Luckily the cars were going with the wind.

No doubt and apparently confirming Motor Trend and Road and Track can't drive in a straight line worth a crap. Keep in mind these car are both the Tech Pack which is the heaviest config.

We still haven't seen anything on a well prepped track yet either. Let's not count it out with what we have so far.

The R hasn't been run privately yet either. It has shorter tires, so it's like going to a 3.87 rear gear in the non R. That should help. Also, having the lighter and wider wheels should make a significant difference.

I'm personally not too worried since I know the car isn't geared for 0-whatever acceleration, but it's still cool to see what people can do with them.

Eh. Crappy prep or not, expected better in the hands of these guys. It's definitely moving on the big end...wonder how it would fair in the 1/2 mile and mile.

That's pretty harsh. Just wait and see what they can do with a Cobra Jet on a road course like Laguna Seca or Road America! :headbonk:

My point being they aren't having professional drag racers drive these cars for the 0-60 and 1/4 mile tests yet they get someone like Randy to do the road course part.
