Ok great, then ford is doing the right thing. That's another reason why I'm coming back for my 18th mustang I've ever owned, and my 6th Shelby. I was figuring the stealerships would play the games and in sure some will.

Put my order in on July 7th and still have nothing. I know my dealer he is a awesome guy they have one allocation I'm not worried at all. I really wish I had the damn car though.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I kind of like this delay as it's giving me extra to time to save as much money as I possibly can towards it so I can finance the least possible :-) As long as I get it some day that's all I care about.

Ordered early August, was originally told it was scheduled to be built last week, now I'm told material hold. With no updates/VIN to speak of...Just as well as the snow will be flying around here soon. Would really love to have it before then though.

My DORA is dated 6/4, and still on an unscheduled material hold. My car is supposed to be a 4th quarter build, so I hope to get a VIN soon. However, getting a VIN can only happen after the regional rep selects my dealers allocation for being built. Ford Performance will tell you if your order is actually in the system....if you have your order and dealer numbers.

Ordered on 6/2. Revised late August for a exterior color change. Got my VIN two weeks ago and possibly will have my car by the end of the year.

What do you guys NOT understand about ALLOCATION? Order date Don"t mean a Damn thing. Sold Orders do not go to the front of the line. Many dealers with only one allocation may not have their order pulled for build until the 3rd or even 4th quarter. Yeah...some dealers will not get their build until next JUNE OR JULY. And yeah, zone reps do have serious input into the allocation process....there is very much of a reward system in process for "favorable" dealerships. Some small town dealership might be waiting for their one allocation, a 4th qtr allocation but they pull off a major F150 deal with a major Corp farm group and make a huge fleet sale of 500 trucks...guess what. They get a nice thank you from their regional manager and their 4th qtr allocation becomes a 2nd qtr allocation.

You don't seem to understand that this is the wailing wall. We all understand the allocation process, at least those of us on here a long time. Let us bemoan our fate in peace.
Exactly!!!! :headbonk:

Order placed Aug 24. Dealer was adamant order had to be in by weekend for pre-thanksgiving-ish delivery. Ford Rep told Dealer last week that my allocation will be pulled any day now. As of today still material hold.
