I might do the same thing but use a Magnetic battery LED Strip (Red) attach it and change it when the battery dies

Did you need an alignment?

I will be taking it for one in the next week or so. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I used black magic tire shine today for the first time and man the car looks like it was literally coming off the lot

Might be able to get a decent deal on a lifetime alignment somewhere

And I don't think the V8 CAI really do much. You need the tune

Just finished washing + drying, clay barring, washing + drying, then putting a coat of Opti-Coat on the beast. Next week when i come home from work i will wax it. Whew........Oh yea yesterday i vacuumed it out and cleaned the interior and put leather cleaner on the seats.

You can save time by clay barring it while you wash. The soap makes an excellent lubricant.

Now that's something you don't see every day. Well done. What's the iats like?

I had the parts and figured I'd give it a shot. Temps are the same as with the Airaid; 15-20 above ambient in traffic, 4-10 at speed.

I was really just after a little cooler at the track when staging and a cleaner look than the open box. So far, so good.

I was thinking about doing the plexiglass cover that another member did for the JLT

I started down that road - I have the 24"x18" plexi in the garage still. I initially mocked it up using cardboard and duct tape. With all the areas that needed 'filling' I decided it wasn't worth the level of effort to get a clean looking finished product. That said, I did pretty much sacrifice my Airaid box by dremeling out the the opening to accommodate the JLT.

Where i live (apartment complex) they won't let you use the water to wash your vehicles unfortunately so i'm forced to use a car wash. I always lived in houses and did the 2 bucket wash method but moved out here for a great paying job and live in an apartment until the job assignment ends. Then hopefully i will go back to Florida/South Carolina or Georgia area.

Yeah I was figuring you had to with the airaid since the JLT tube is bigger. Nice mod tho, looks clean.
