Let me chime in here!
I am a service manager at a chevy dealership. I've worked for chevy dealers since 2007. Nothing is wrong with Chevrolet products. Sometimes it's a connection issue (the connection between the seat and steering wheel).
However, the Camaro IS a better performing car out of the box, hands down. But even with the 2016 model, the entrance into the car is too squished down and I hit my head (I'm 5'9") and the interior is still kind of corny.
The new mustang is a beautiful car bar none. The interior is MILES ahead of the Camaro, and that's a big deal for myself.
I am a track day person. I will be tracking my new mustang. I will be purchasing suspension mods to make up for the S550 handling shortcomings. I am not a fan of a tail-happy car on the track.
Chevy set the bar high in 2013 with the Camaro 1LE. It's a fantastic handling car and looks mean with the blacked out hood and wheels, but it still has that terribly low roofline and high door beltline and crap interior.
The new 2016 Camaro also has a shortcoming: NO RECARO SEAT OPTION!!
I would have seriously considered a new Camaro if it had the recaros, but probably would have ended up buying the mustang, because I've had 4 throughout my life and just love what they are all about.
