:headbang: I was part of that train.:clap2:

I think it has a lot to do with the new direction Ford took the Mustang. IRS and Styling is what sold me. IMO Camaro is more of the same with just "updated specs"

Not totally surprised at Camaro's numbers. Out going model with all new incoming model. The dealer by me has them all over the lot.

I am amazed at Mustangs numbers however. Wow. 10,096 in the month of October?! That is very impressive.

In 2015 they have had FIVE months of 10,000 + and one month they missed the 10,000 mark by 3 measly cars. As noted, they have sold 106,321 YTD. To compare, only twice from 2010 to present date did chevy sell 10,000 or more Camaro's. With their biggest sales year coming in 2011 with a total of 88,249...

With this many Mustangs being sold, it should be a buyer's market for used ones in 2-3 years. That will be nice because, assuming they hold up well, I'll pick up a used one as a gift for my son.
He-he. YEP!

Precisely what I have been counting on.

Sometime in late 17 it will open up a whole bunch of options for me. There will be low miles used ("pre-owned") 15, 16's and 17's. Or I can take the pick of the litter of a new outgoing 17 or new incoming 18...

I would have expected Camaro sales to be better with GM offering deep discounts to move them off of lots before the 16s hit.

And the Mustang has surpassed the Camaro in total sales from 2009 through October 2015. This is why I tend to agree with those who say just because the 6thGen Camaro might offer better performance, that does not mean that it will translate into sales.
There's a big difference between an outgoing lame duck model compared to a new and shiny model. The 5th gen war ended when the 6th gen Mustang came out.

That being said the sales are pretty good for the Mustang and time will tell what sales better. Price point may be an issue for the Camaro this time around.

Very impressive on the sales for Mustang. I expect to see them climb even higher now with the Friends and Family sales event starting.

Okay, there should be a slow down in Mustang sales here shortly... has to be...

I'm betting Overseas Sales are 30-40%. I'd be surprised to find out the Mustang is selling 16,000+ cars Globally a month...

As for the s550, FORD knocked it out of the park on aesthetics alone!!!! The car has the sexiest lines of all American cars and the V6 and Ecoboost appeals to women and younger drivers that aren't ready to spend the money on a GT and also take the insurance hit the GT has as well. IMO

The body design change has definitely attributed to the skyrocketing sales here where I live. I see these EVERYWHERE now. The previous body style not so much.

I would think it will slow down any time now as winter is setting in here shortly across the US.

I purchased one too. My first new car! Completely love it.

Instead of ordering a 2016, I got a 2015 GT that was still in stock. Black, Premium Package, Performance Package. Got a great deal on it too.

Mustang finally overtook Camaro in market share since 2009! Nice.

Good point!
Well Chevy sales have tapered off big time thanks to their massive amount of quality issues. I have a few friends that are lifelong Chevy fanatics that had their last straw when production on the new stingray was stopped entirely AFTER customer deaths from subpar quality assurance.

Customer deaths? I have not heard about that, and can't find an article. Can you link one? This is all I could find: http://www.autonews.com/article/201...2-recalls-stop-sale-orders-for-2015-corvettes
