My phone is paired and calls work fine. But when I stream music and cycle through the mode I only have Usb available.

Any ideas?

What kind of phone do you have? I think iPhones require a hard wire connection to a usb port to get full service.

Mine has to be voice activated or scrolled through the menu to BT Phone and then mobile apps. I wish there was a specific BT button.

The Shakers have BT button you sync your phone too. Don't know about the base model.

Base model should be as simple as connecting bluetooth. cycle through the menus on steering wheel and on the radio to see if there is a difference. My base model screws up every now and then, but only when I plug my phone in to the USB port to charge. It tries switching modes and I just have to double tap the mode button to get through the usb modes

Good point about the voice command. I remember now I had to do it that way with a rental car I borrowed. I'll have another go tomorrow

Hi sharp21,

Were you able to get Bluetooth Audio to work? Let me know.

FordIVTteam, is there any updates that speed up the reaction of the voice commands? It's embarrassingly slow. Press VC button, 3-5 seconds later (it varies) and then you say the command and 3-5 seconds later, the function happens.

Honestly I've been at work since I poste this and haven't had a chance to try. My rental does the same thing though so I'm confident it will work.

Just odd that there is nowhere to manually select Bt audio on th base stereo

Yeah, it's really a massive oversight (like not giving us the option to choose the default input).
This, along with yesterday's Bluetooth freakout in my car, is why I'm looking forward to a solid aftermarket solution so I can ditch Sync.

Hi Evo_Rob,

Multiple enhancements are generally compiled into one update; therefore, to my knowledge there isn't anything that speaks specifically to that issue. Shoot me a PM with your VIN and I'll dig a little deeper.

Also, have you tried a master reset? This will usually remedy those types of issues. To perform the reset press MENU, scroll down to SYNC SETTINGS, press OK, scroll down to MASTER RESET, and press OK.

Keep me posted.

Hey sharp21,

You should be able to select BT by pressing the MEDIA button. USB will then be displayed but if you press MEDIA again the source should then change to Bluetooth audio. Let me know if that works for you.

Also, keep in mind the media on your device may need to be playing prior to making the selection.

Hey brandonsmash,

Uh oh! We don't want your SYNC freaking out. What's going on?

I have not yet. I will try that first and then let you know what happens. Also, the mobile apps feature keeps kicking my Pandora and Spotify apps off the menu and won't start via Voice Command. Hopefully, the reset fixes all. :) And thanks for the reply. I really love technology and having the car companies having reps on the big forums!

Thanks, Evo_Rob! I'm glad to help where I can. :)

Have you had an opportunity to try the reset process? If so, did it resolve the voice command and AppLink issues?

I did reset and I sent you/Shaay a PM. I'm assuming it's the same login? I didn't want to post everything until we could say it was resolved or in process of being better :)
