GT 350........ Have been at my Ford Dealer and talking with them on a new 2016 GT 350...... Still up in air on color yet down to two colors Oxford White or Avalanche Gray......... As of now I have a 2015 GT Mustang in Competition Orange 50th anniversary Apperance package car........

What they say about the horse power is 526 hp @ 7500 rpm and 429 lb-ft of torque @ 4700 rpm...........

Has any one really have any idea what the real Horse Power and Torque may be on the GT 350....... Just curious

I'm sure the guys that were lucky enough to get one of the 2015 GT 350 will be a real collectors item..........

But what are your thoughts on the 2016 GT 350 Value some were down the road....... Any info and help will be appreciated thanks everyone... John

I would expect them to do as well as the Boss, Mach 1s and 500s have done (they have done well if you haven't shopped them).

As for a collectors item, not so much.

The real HP of the GT350 is 526 HP, 429 TQ.

The engine is SAE certified, it's making what Ford says it is.

Go with white. Avalanche is kind of cool, but light/flat greys are a currently popular fad that will fade. White will always be classy, especially with some blue stripes on a GT350.

The power figures your dealer quoted are the real power and torque figures for the car... Ford tends to underrate their cars a bit, so I'd expect it to make a few more than advertised, but unless someone wants to pull an engine and put it on a dyno (not a car on a chassis dyno), we'll probably never know the absolute correct numbers.

Yes, 2015 cars will be massively collectible, many will likely never, or rarely be driven.

Who knows on 2016 and beyond cars. GT500s will eventually likely plummet in value at some point because they made nearly 50,000 of them from 07-14. If they produce similar numbers of GT350s (I don't think they will), you could see a similar story.

My concern about MY'15's (excluding R) would be, why would someone pay a premium for a 2015 when there is essentially a flood of MY '16 & '17's right behind them? I understand in 20-30 years seeing the value of a '15 increase ahead of the other model years, but not anytime soon. Of course this is just my opinion.

I disagree. I don't think there will be a flood of 16 & 17 GT350s. In fact, some dealerships are already selling their 17 allocations.

As far as the 2015 goes - scarcity + desire = collectibility. With only 137 total 2015s to go around, and the fact that it's the 50th Anniversary Shelby, I think they will draw value short term and long term.

Just my 2 cents.

Because it is a 15.
It is a 15.
It is the 40th anniversary model.
It is one of 137 cars (or 1 of 50 if broken down to Teck/Track packs)
It will always be much more collectible to those in the Mustang community then a 16, 17, 18..
Because it is a 15.
Flood- what flood? 8000 Boss 302s made in 12/13...how often do you see those running down the street in public...
Because it is a 15 and damn rare.

^Agree with the two above ^

Plus if you want to talk about floods and metrics... just look at Mustang sales (note these are all non-GT350 cars).

To really put that into perspective: More regular mustangs are sold in a month, than probably the entirety of GT350s.

Maybe flood was the wrong choice of words, but 10K is a flood when you compare it to 137. Here is the point I was trying to make, in the next 5 years on the used car market why would I pay a higher price for a used '15 when there are 10K MY '16 and '17 unless I was strictly a collector? If my sole purpose was just to get my hands on one I would no doubt choose a later model year, but you might not even be able to easily obtain a '15 on the used market? Man, I wish I was watching fresh GT350 YouTube videos instead!:eyebulge:

Thanks for all the Info and, your input on the GT 350..... My Ford Dealer is putting some numbers together, but I did not have time to stay there today, but my 2015 GT Mustang is going in for service tomarrow, and while the car is geitng serviced, we will work this out on price on the GT 350....... I will be treading in my 2015 GT Mustang on this GT 350..... My GF and I still have not decided on the COLOR as yet, but we have till tomarrow on that thing..... I like the white with the blue stripe, but I also like Avalanche gray but I think I would go without a strip on it, but that's just me on this color...... Again a lot of great advice on GT 350 from 6G Fourms......

But tomarrow will tell if and what the Ford Dealer comes up with.... This will be the 3rd Mustang from them if we can agree on price...... Wish me LUCK tomarrow on this.......... John

Again this GT 350 will be a Driver............

Because it is a 15. It will always retain a higher value. It will always be a 'show" car because it was one of the 15s. It is rare.....

I can scoure the internet and buy NOS parts--real original 50 yr old Ford parts, I can chase down a 1965 K code Mustang fastback built at the San Jose plant and then build a dead on perfect 1965 GT350 or even a 65 GT350R. Aside from the tag in the engine bay (and you can model that) it would be totally indistinguishable from a Shelby GT350 put together back in the day in 1965. Totally identical and guess what...one is worth $100,000+ (copies with NOS parts are worth $$, just in parts costs alone) and one would be worth $250k-$1M. Same damn car....just one is 'original' and one isn't.

A 16, 17 GT350 can and will probably be a dead on exact copy of the 137 15s--it don't matter. It ain't a 15, it never will be. The 15 will always be worth more. Simple as that.

Exception--Sure. Only if Ford way overbuilds and seriously improves over the years as the GT500 did- that can limit future values. If Ford builds 50,000 GT350s over the next 8 yrs and makes serious levels of improvement each year then the 15s will lose some (a lot) of their status (like an 07 GT500 has eaten crow in comparison to the 11/12 and 13/14 MYs). BUT with the changes coming to CAFE--I'm not counting on it.

And still ...only 137 for 15- that will always keep it unique (and rare).

Up date on the GT 350

Last Thursday I was going down to have my GT 5.0 Mustang serviced, had a Appointment at my Ford Dealer at 9:00 am that day..... Was going out the house at 8:00 am Thursday morning, and my phone rang and it was my doctor my office calling me...... They asked if I had time to talk, and I said yes, the week before I went in for some blood work, that I had to have done again after we came back from are 9000 miles trips to the west coast........ I found out my numbers on my lymph were again high, so my doctor wants me to see a Blood specialist, to have this checked out and find out what is going on with my my blood..... So after my Mustang was serviced, I went over to new car sales, and told them about my situation with my blood, and I told them I should wait on ordering this GT 350 Mustang till after I find out what is going on with this medical problem I have right at the moment...... I got a call yesterday from the blood Specialist office and I have a appointment on October 13, at 1:10 in the afternoon....... And I have had my GT Mustsang for 11 months and is about paid for..... So I told my GF that we should put the GT 350 on hold till I find out what is going on with the numbers in my blood...... Maybe its nothing and I'm hoping that what the outcome is going to be....... The last few days has been kind of a bummer, for I was Really excited about ordering the GT 350, but what ever my Lord has planed for me it will be just fine..... But I just want to let everyone know that I just did not post, about buying the GT 350........ Angin thanks John

iT SUCKS GETING OLD, Except for driving a GT Mustang....

I will post more later on my situation...... :amen:

Good luck brother. I don't think I'll be the only one to mention....depending on ones health, good or bad - doing something you truly enjoy is key. Best wishes!
