Gibson vs Roush

I have the MBRP street on my car now. Selling this weekend. I need something louder. I need it louder at idle. I like the Roush + H pipe. There's no drone and loud when you want it. How raspy is this system. How loud are cold starts compare to the car being warm already?is the neighborhood going to hear the cold start more than my street. I like the Gibson but comes with the X pipe. These system seems deeper but there's drone. does it only drone between 60 to 65. Or does it drone in all gears around the 2k RPM range? Now in the future I'm going to put on cat-less headers. With the Roush only being 2.5 and the Gibson being 3". Which size is better for off road headers? I now in the end I have to make up my mind myself.

We ran the Roush setup with our resonator delete and it sounded amazing. Here's a video which shows most of the sound for startup, idle and driving. I highly recommend this setup.

+1 to the lethal stuff. I have the X-Pipes and I found myself revisiting that same video a few days ago. [MENTION=10008]LethalPerformance[/MENTION], are the H-Pipes still as loud as the X-Pipes, but just more deeper/aggressive and less raspy? My setup is very very raspy when I go WOT, so contemplating on going with the H-Pipes, but don't really want to become quiet.

Thanks for the feedback. Regarding the H pipe vs X pipe many people feel that the H has a deeper throatier muscle car sound to it where the X is slightly exotic sounding.

With that said I really didn't notice too much of a difference between the X and the H when we tested them with the same axleback. I believe that's because the axlebacks are really what end up dictating the sound you get.

So I really wouldn't tell you to go with the H if you have the X already as I can't say for sure you're going to notice a difference.

I wasnt crazy about the sound of Roush paired with the res delete and I thought it was pretty raspy. I've had plenty of customers wanting to change their setup back to something else but can't after they completely hack their system. Just something to think about. If you want something loud, Corsa Extremes, SW LMF, MBRP Race just to name a few.

That was to get the flex pipe out of there correct? At the end of the day 3" full system is better for performance then the 2.5 Roush system? I'm leaning more and more to Gibson. Sounds deeper in videos. Sounds better with headers to. I'm just worried about the drone. I'm thinking I should be able to drive around it with having the 3.73 gears and manual. I do drive on the high way a lot. And leaving the neighborhood I don't want to make people made.

I dolike the stainless works setup. Since I you can and there headers later. Sounds good and deep. Is this the same with the drone I would have to drive around it. How about cold starts. I want loud but not crazy. I want to leave the neighborhood with out shaking everything. The biggest thing is price 1k for the SW. I guess somethings are worth the money. Is there any rasp?

Love mine too. I do get a considerable buzz/rasp sound inside the cabin under part throttle driving, but outside it sounds awesome. Not sure what to do...thought about resonators, but outside it sounds good.

I think Gibson is what I'm ordering. It just sounds deeper and better at idle. Doing headers one day is better with a full 3" system. If I don't like it I'll sell that one and go with another system. This is why I like keeping the stock setup.

my tuner checked both tailpipes at the same time while cmr tuning and he said the gibson xpipe was spot on for both sides.

Gibson will sound better after a few hundred miles too, love mine.

the stainless works sounds really good, especially with the lmf cores, thats what we run on our car, sounds killer, let me know if you need help with those or the roush
