I don't really see the big deal, he obviously knew the cam was there and was probably having a little fun. Made some funny comments and a bunch of repetitive this is fucking junk comments. Shit it sounds like any one of you fools talking about Camaro, Challenger, or other competition being shit and junk. Probably someone from the vs section.
Our family name is on our business. I do not want it to equated with profanity, rudeness, or just plain misery. You name is all you have and to allow this behavior is unacceptable. If I knew the employee knew he was being recorded he would be fired. If not training and a letter in his file would be in order. Another incident and his ass would roll.

I don't get it. Yes the guy sounds like an angry a-hole, but I heard or saw nothing he disrespected or abused the car in any way. Didn't floor it, seemed to be going 5-10mph.

This guy should get fired because of the thought police now or what could maybe someday happen?

First of all this really shouldn't have been recorded in the first place- sure out the windshield is fine but no audio or the guy's face (which wasnt in this video but others). It's illegal to record someone, even voice, without their consent in many states.

I'm sorry but the argument with the business name attached fails as this is very different than a tech swearing in the service area expecting customers to be around. He was in the car alone where 99.99% of the time no one hears it; this should not be used against him because someone chose to record it (likely illegally too)

I'm sure EVERY one of you has had a bad day at work and sweared up a storm. Sh*t happens, who cares?

That lot attendant must have been recently fired from the Mercedes dealership down the road!

Next time tell them to not wash your car with the automatic paint smoker.

Applause to you, someone who actually knows what running a business is all about. If you allow your employees, or are a manager and think this is ok i would never enter you place of business. If he knew this was being recorded thats 10x worse then if he didnt.

You're right, he didn't seem to do anything to the car. However, his negativity is enough. Having worked in multiple shops and dealerships, I've worked alongside negative people like this and it's not worth it. As was already mentioned, employees are the face of any business- so even the lowest employee needs to have respect and some degree of positivity. There's plenty of people out there, he can be replaced.
I hope my dealership isn't like this with my new 2016 coming soon....:ninja::lol:

Wow some of you are so self righteous. Ask yourself honestly in all of your life and jobs have you never gone to the back or once a customer/client left and told another worker man was that guy/girl a prick/jackass/etc? I bet none of you can say that never ever happened where you talked bad of someone else or their purchase/issue whatever they came to your work for.

Now imagine you said it and the customer recorded you without you knowing when you were very reasonably expected to be alone (illegally too, in the sense that it could not be used against you and an employer would wrongfully terminate this guy based on this tape without 2 party consent to be recorded)

But you should be fired because you didn't like something and used some bad language where you thought (very reasonable in a car alone) you were alone? Puhlease. A job isn't always fun, it'd be called super happy fun time not work/job if it was always fun and cheery.

And this is why today, customer service is seriously lacking. It's the entitlement society. Whatever you do is ok! Don't judge! Well B.S. To that.

Absolutely. Ask for a joint meeting with the service manager and dealership general manager.

This is ridiculous.
Wow!! Seriously? The guy was alone, talking to himself, didn't drive inappropriately or do anything at all except make negative comments.
And you want to effectively try to get him fired over that?
Trust me that if you did that, your car would suffer. There are a million ways that techs and mechanics can sabotage your car that are undetectable and not show up for a long time. His buddies would make sure that you understand people still have freedom of speech, while alone in a space where privacy is expected. A customers car falls into that category. Inside a police car however is different and you can be recorded without consent or warning.
That's like whining to your teacher that little Jimmy told you he doesn't like you during play time.

AGAIN what you do in front of the customer matters, period. Everything else should not matter.

This guy could be the nicest guy in front of people and yes maam no maam hold doors 5 star reviews. THAT is what matters, no what someone thinks in private in the car alone being illegally recorded (which the employer CANNOT use to fire him FYI)

I don't think he did anything wrong. Personally I wouldn't care, that's his opinion and he was alone and didn't abuse the car in anyway. Why should he lose his job for something as stupid as this or get in trouble. He may have had a bad day, it happens. Along as he didn't take it out on the car it's fine.

i find it nearly impossible to believe that he did NOT know he was being recorded, its not like dashcams are hidden inside a freaking vent.

The problem with your point is the employee did not know the owner. I would support an employee if a customer was berating/cursing them and they defended themselves. But this is not the situation. Self Righteous? You obviously have never started a company.

No need to rake this guy over the social media coals of shame. He doesn't like the car... no biggie.
