I wouldn't be swapping back to stock, unless there are issues, but it seems the V2 kit has ironed all of those out?

A buddy and I did dyno testing on the CJ intake when they came out. Ported, non ported, CJ mono throttle blade, dual bore throttle baldes and so on. We enjoy doing that kind of stuff. Especially since I can get dyno time for a reasonable rate.

he posted about his CJ experience in the intake manifold thread. He was pleased with the results. If I recall right, he has one in his garage that he didn't sell.

I had a 2011 with a CJ intake on it. It had a Boss intake before that. On the street the Boss seemed more 'laggy' than the CJ. Neither one of them made me hate driving the car around town. The CJ was crisp on the street and made good power. It ran 11.2 @ 120 in my car that had no weight reduction besides removed front sway bar and Weld RTS wheels front and back. Same set up with the stock intake resulted in a 11.44 @ 116. So the CJ helped for sure. The MPH shows the car was making more power.

I still have the CJ set up in my garage. At some point I hope that tune is there for trying the intake out on my 2015. I have access to two dynos and a buddy that is a SCT tuner. I just picked my car up Saturday and don't think I will do the CJ too quickly. Maybe someone will get the CJ on one of these cars sooner.

I typed up an ad on craigslist and a local forum. But never posted it. I figured I might regret it later. lol I have sold plenty of parts for a lost just to later turn around a buy them again at full price. haha

And what was the end result

Off the top of my head...

The intake ports are rough. Where the parts of the intake come together it has gaps and mis matched edges. So it wasn't really ported by the ports were cleaned up. To make them smooth. This was good for +/- 10hp across the board.

The different throttle bodies made about the same hp. A small enough difference that you could say it was variations and variables from run to run that made the difference. But torque was higher overall with the larger mono CJ throttle body.

The 4.5" home made cold air kit was easier for the tuner to tune than the 5" Rev Auto. Drivability was improved with the 4.5" set up as well. I would think mainly because of the MAF resolution.

The best I went with the stock intake was 11.44 @ 116. With the CJ I went 11.27 @ 120. Similar DA, but not done on the same day. I think I could have gone faster with both combos. I was only leaving at 5200 or so with the stock intake. I left at 5800 with the CJ. The trans was also messed up when I bought the car with 10,000 miles on it. So it did not like shifting at 7400 rpm or more. But the MPH increase of 4mph showed the car was making more power with the CJ set up.

I think the CJ intake set up is well worth the money for someone looking to make as much power as they can n/a. Costly but the results are there.
