I plan on doing a hellion TT set up myself, I love both sc and tt's and each has its place. I just like the idea of the turbos put no more stress on the motor due to running off of spent exhaust gases rather than the parasitic loss system of a sc. Not to mention I love how the 55mm turbos are building torque like none of the sc's are doing. And I also wanna keep my strut tower brace on lol which won't work with a sc

Base kit runs like $8500 from late model or AM. You can just add the larger injectors and BAP later down the road, just my .02

Yep.

Alot of people will just do a base Procharger system but when you price out a Stage 2 with the D1, headers, etc it gets very close to the Hellion pricing...

Plus who wouldn't want twins under the hood

Our 2015 system installs well, was tested, designed, and engineered. It comes with detailed instructions and can come with a calibration that has been refined by some of the best calibrators in the industry.

We disagree that opting for a turbocharger over a supercharger is more difficult, and opposite of mainstream. Its a different preference for some, and others simply want to have the quickest and most powerful car on the road. Turbos are used in OEM vehicles with undeniable success, and we just build on that by bringing it to the late model market.

Some may see turbos as more engaging, but it is because a turbo system involves the exhaust as well as the intake charge. In all reality, a true max effort supercharger involves the exhaust as well (Headers, x pipe, etc.). We just basically send it in the package to begin with. (Our 2015 GT system does not need aftermarket headers for installation.)

Enthusiast preferences will always be diverse. It is a great time for the aftermarket with so many choices. We just enjoy bringing a bolt-on turbocharged option to the Mustang GT!

Aftermarket turbo systems are not emissions legal, violating EPA and all CARB laws. Since there are 14 green states that follow CARB laws you can legally only offer product in 36 states. Yet because a turbo system changes all predynamics of the catalytic converter system, you actually violate EPA by modifying an emission control device. Any testing would require proving cat performance, cat life and making sure the obd monitors work properly.

When a turbo kit mfg can make an emission legal system and properly devote the amount of time, research and investment it takes to make the most powerful legal systems, mainstream maybe possible.

Comparing an aftermarket turbo system to an OEM is about as close to comparing a supercharger to a turbo. Of course OEM does it, they also do supercharged and compound charging so it's somewhat irrelevant. Turbos have their own set of issues and complications that are typically overcome on an OEM project, not aftermarket.

While we can all appreciate the turbo potential and the systems you produce as well as others, the install is more than triple the install time than any PD system. The kits are also far more expensive as well as the labor. While a SC may work better with a better exhaust system, it's by no means required. If we wanted to add another $2-4k of parts and engineering to our kits, the power potential would rival any turbo system on pump gas. Can a turbo make more power? Certainly can in the correct system, but if you think mainstream is possible without being legal, you may need to do some research. Check out Diablo and K&N latest fines.

Reasons people go supercharger compared to turbocharger

Price: I know the turbo guys will argue the exhaust thing and price for headers, but if you don't need headers right away to get good power from a supercharger. So for them to keep saying that, it's just not comparable. It's not the supercharger manufacture's fault you have to come up with an exhaust design to make your system work and cost more money.
Tuning: Turbo companies tune and do great work. However, there is still a grey area on installs and tunes at local levels in most areas. Some areas have very limited local tuning options.
Installation: Turbo install is a more complex and longer process.

So recap. Supercharger is cheaper, easier to tune, and easier to install. Great for all street and regular joe mustang guy. If you want ultimate power levels and don't mind spending more money on everything, than Turbocharging is for you.

I'm not a vendor or anything, just a fellow mustang enthusiast answering the thread. I've owned and played with mustangs since 1999. I'm not a mechanic or anything like that but I have worked on my own cars and enjoy the hobby.

You realize that is tuner kit pricing, I hope. You have to add a lot more to have a running car.
This kit doesn't need injectors or a boost a pump to make it run, those are only needed for higher boost levels. All that would be needed is a tune. And if you want, beefcake racing has a kit on their website for this package with id1000's and a BAP and tune for like $9000 give or take I don't remember

I'm selling my Hellion Kit if anyone is interested.
Nothing wrong with it, just helping a family member out with a financial situation.

The kit is installed on my car, made 714rwhp on 94 pump gas @ 10psi
