Steering wheel fading

So at 3000 miles the top of my steering wheel were my hand makes the most contact has started to fade. Anyone else have this problem

Hands are never greasy. Maybe some sweat time to time but even then I make sure my hands are not wet when I drive. I have owned this car for 7 months and it's a DD. would warranty cover this?

yes it should. within 3000 miles it shouldn't be an issue.

Warranty it all day long.

My BMW did this and I dont even hold the wheel there! The sun was killing it sitting outside all day and it was considered defective. My brother and I got both BMWs together and we both park it in the same place everyday, and his weathered fine.

Italians eat a lot of tomato sauce and garlic. They contribute to acidic sweat. I have a buddy that's Sicilian and he can't have wood grips on his guns because they discolor right away. Also, he owns stainless guns exclusively because they rust regardless of anything he does.
His Beemer steering wheel dis colored within two months of buying it. He always drives one handed with his hand at 10oclock and that's right where his wheel dis colored.

My wheel already started peeing at the '9' where my palm and thumb rest. It's already lost its matte sheen. I'm surprised at how quickly it's wearing down.
