I had a jeep that had the fading pretty bad. I tried the peanut butter method and it worked for the rest of time that I owned it (another year and half). So Im just commenting based on my experiences. But hope OP gets it fixed. Let us know what works for you.

I will second the Megiaurs ultimate liquid wax. Also, their ultimate quik wax darkens plastic up nicely. Both will cut down on fading plastic with regular use.

I should also mention that someone previously suggested using a pencil eraser to remove dried wax spots from the black trim (i forget who and in which thread), and this worked very, very well on my S550 a month ago. I just wouldn't press too hard, especially on the softer trim sections such as around the windows.

Mothers "BACK TO BLACK" in a 8oz. red bottle. It's all you will ever need.
+1 been using it for years on all my cars and all trim looks new.

Anyone notice that there black trim on the premium gts start to fade or turn white? I know I left some leftover wax residue on some pieces which may have caused this...is there anyway to fix this?
I hardly drive my car, but I am going to Plasti dip my black trim in black gloss
