Anyone else wish you could black out the information display (the area between the gauges)? When you use MyColor to change your gauge colors, it just looks messy. And most of the time it's just sitting at a menu - it'd be GREAT to configure it to go blank after x amount of time.

You go into the settings and there are settings for the screen where you can change the brightness, etc. There's a turn off option.

For the life of me, I don't find that option, either in the settings in the Information Display - or the vehicle settings on the MFT screen.

Have a GT Premium.

You can't. I would prefer a nice digital speedometer instead of looking at my tire pressure or miles to empty. :(

Just keep it on one of your extra gauges, mine sits on air/fuel ratio or oil temp most of the time.

Turning it off would be great. I dim my gauges pretty far to keep them easy on my eyes but that area in the middle is always super bright. Kind of defeats the purpose of being able to dim the gauges in the first place.

Mine's on oil temp all the time so that I know when things are warmed up and I can unleash some horses.

Same here. I usually watch the oil temperature so I don't get on it too hard before the oil is well into the green zone.

Digital speedometer would be awesome!

Where it's only replaced in an emergency or for a reminder. (Tire pressure low, 50 miles to E)

I'd like to turn off the stero display at night on my base model, its too bright and dimming it dims the gauges too which I don't want too do.

I'd like a compass there...but I'm a geek.

Never thought of it. That would be perfect.
I recently had a new Acura TLX loaner which had that option between the main gauges and it was really cool.

Does anyone know if ford plans on developing and/or providing a software update to address all these issues ? Dig speedo, compass, blank, etc ?

Not sure about the base, but the premiums do display the direction of the compass in the upper right corner. You could put the system into engineering mode and use that digital speedo. I normally use it on highway trips. Hold the ok button as you turn on the vehicle then cycle to the speedo.
