Turn signals turn off fog lights

I didnt see this covered in the manual, so I wondered if you have noticed it on your S550.

When I have my fog lights on, and then turn on a direction signal, the fog light on that side goes out and comes back on when the turn signal is off.

Have you encountered this?

Pretty normal. A lot of new cars with LED DRLs turn the DRLs off when using turn signals to improve visibility.

Yup, I just figured this out last week myself. I saw my buddy's stang in the rearview mirror and even told him his foglight is out. Only later he corrected me after we checked for ourselves that it's a normal feature.

Again it's probably a safety feature for oncoming traffic so they visibly see that your turning.

what jasonstang said .....I'm actually surprised our gill leds don't turn off as well. Glad though....gotten allot of compliments on them.

If you put your emergency flasher on then both fogs turn off.
