You handled the situation well
I think the focus of the conversation is about people who purposely screw with guys who like to park out away from everyone. I mean that last thing on my mind it to say "Hey look ... there's a nice new sports car parked all along way out there, I think I'll go park next to him to try and freak him out and piss him off!"
I mentioned the thing that goes on in my town a while back where some people (particularly the older folks) are hardcore into the Jante Laws and get triggered by actions they perceive as someone being too full of themselves, so in this case doing stuff like this is their way of saying "you're not special because you have a new car, we ALL have to risk little fender-benders whenever we park, stop acting like you're above the rest of us".I mean what kind of mentality is going on in someone's skull that thinks that way? Are these people trying to make themselves feel like they exist in the world or what? Maybe can't stand to think someone has a nice car and doesn't want it messed up, so he'll try to mess it up to make himself feel better? Whatever it is, it's fucked up.
Needless to say, I'm not planning on taking the 'Stang I get into town that much.
The thing is, those people who mess with other people because they perceive someone as being "too full of themselves" are total hypocrites because when people screw with other people based on that mentality, then they are obviously the ones who are "too full of themselves".
Yeah, I've never understood the tall poppy syndrome mindset. "We don't achieve much in life, so how ****ing dare you attempt to do more than us" is just...guh. :frusty:

)This makes me glad I live in a country where Trucks are only ever purchased for work purposes and have to be kept spotless or else their company fleet manager will bring the hammer down on them. It means anyone in a pickup stays well-the-fuck away and gets just as angry if someone dings it.

Either that or find you parked somewhere else and return the favor in spades.I had a specific incident a month or two ago. I HAD to make an emergency run to Wal-Mart (hate that place to begin with) because it was the only store open that late. I parked waaaay out, under a street light (with camera attached) just to be safe. I came out, no longer than 15 mins later, to find some asshole parked his POS Hyundai right next to me. SO, i decided to flip up his wiper blades and left a lil saliva on his door handle.
