I'm personally going to wait and see what, if any, issues come up with heating on these ponies in the wild before putting on a Chicken Little routine, yeah. Depending on what happens in my day-to-day I may end up having to put in for a 2016 instead of a 2015, so this is relevant to me.
If I remember right, the only Mustangs with 3.15:1 gearing are V6s with no ratio options checked with either transmission type, and any other Mustang running an automatic with no ratio options checked. Manual Ecoboosts and GTs default to 3.31:1.
Agreed there. Though I just hope the manual transmission itself doesn't do the same here in the States! :eyebulge:
My Impala is an auto, and I couldn't ask for much more with a DD, but before I had it I had a Pontiac Firebird with the ol' Borg-Warner 6-speed manual and damn I just miss rowing...
Yeah, I've never understood the tall poppy syndrome mindset. "We don't achieve much in life, so how ****ing dare you attempt to do more than us" is just...guh. :frusty:
I mean, okay, I can sort of get the idea that everybody takes the same risks when they go out for a drive to somewhere and...
I just attempted it in Ford's builder after reading this. Unfortunately attempting to select Spoiler Delete with the Black Accent package on gives you a "this requires removal of black accent" dialogue box, so it seems a no-go there.
I mentioned the thing that goes on in my town a while back where some people (particularly the older folks) are hardcore into the Jante Laws and get triggered by actions they perceive as someone being too full of themselves, so in this case doing stuff like this is their way of saying "you're...
As I've mentioned in another thread, if I were getting my Mustang to be a daily driver instead of a fair-weather weekend fun cruiser/auto-x and track dancer, I'd be looking at the Ecoboost premium instead of the base GT. Still got enough power for doing fun stuff with, the price point allows DD...
Almost certainly this. A lot of media reviewers have noticed that the Ecoboost tends not to be as prone to understeer on corner entry as the GT can be.
What I wonder then is if the throttle stuck due to a defect on his car that was there from the factory, or something that happened because of whatever modifications were done to the powertrain.
Depending on the circumstances and damage, it might be. More generally, having the license plate can help you find out who's supposed to be getting the bill. It isn't foolproof, obviously. (Say you had a car beside you but come back to find damage to your rear end; it MIGHT have been that...
I prefer my revenge served cold when this stuff happens, personally. Going ballistic on somebody carries the risk of making you look worse than the guy who dinged your car to bystanders (or worse, the police). A quick fix of justice isn't worth a night in the sin bin or getting the **** kicked...
One of the reasons I'm not planning to DD my Mustang when I get it is that there are a lot of people around where I live who get angry if they assume somebody is "putting on airs". I've seen a fair few keyed/deliberately dented/otherwise vandalized cars that their owners had parked away from...
