I had a guy at work say he was looking at my car and thought I had a dent in it until he saw the other side was the same. It was the body line on the side of the car that starts back up after the rear fender. I don't see how it could possibly look like a dent but he then proceeded to bring up numerous times to different people how stupid it looked  I still don't really understand how he saw a dent and neither did anyone else.
At work? With acquaintances you are forced to see for hours every day, when everyone would much rather be elsewhere?

Jealousy at its finest.:headbonk:

There's just something about the workplace. When something nice happens to you, it brings out the worst in some other people.

Keep being gracious, and he will look like the fool till he leaves, haha :D

Just had some guy say it looked like I was compensating for something with a bigger car.
I offered him to drop drawers together right there in the parking lot so he could verify that his car wasn't the only 'compact' thing in his life.

He walked away mad with everyone else lauging

I see a nice car, I compliment the driver, no matter what it is. Even if I truly didn't like it, I'd never say anything negative because it's all relative.
This is pushing it, however.

You'd have to bite your tongue very hard not to question the owner's sanity. ;)

Sent a few pics via text to a female friend of mine to get her take on colors and wheels....her response was that all Mustangs are 'douchy' (sp?)...after a little discussion it seems guys in their mid/late 30s can only drive fullsize trucks or 4 cylinder Camrys and not be somekind of ahole compensating for something...

Prius driving c***:D

Guy in a 2014 or 15 Accord LX pulls up to me and compliments the car and then he's like "I hear the turbo, you must be making like 700 hp!" I told him no more like half of that because it's the EB, and he's like "oh it's a 4 banger, should've gotten the v8" and I told him "awh you only have the LX, should've gotten the V6" and he just opened his eyes real wide and drove away. It made my day haha
But in all seriousness.. You should've gotten the V8

Your brother is sadly misinformed.

Anyone who thinks a Ford is less reliable than ANY German car is living in a fantasy world. As far as sophistication, I'll stack my 32-valve, DOHC, 4-wheel independent suspension, 4 wheel disc brake, computer assisted Mustang against anything he's got at the price point and win. An Audi S3? Don't make me laugh! That's a GTI wearing a suit, not a V8 performance car. A GT is much more competitive with an S5, and check the price difference there.

It's really irritating, the level of ignorance in the auto-snob world. I guess admitting reality would crush their dreams.

Well said

At a car show a few weeks ago, I had a guy with a 2009 Challenger SRT start ranting about how anyone could buy a Mustang, the back seat is useless, and how he can go a 150mph with four people in his car. I responded by telling him that at least he won't die alone when his POS goes off the road at 150.

I've been made fun of quite some times for driving the V6. I tell people my 2015 Mustang is a V6 and it's almost instantly a turn-off and they boost about how badass the 5.0 is.

They are fast but I've ridden in faster stock cars. It's not like people can drive 150 on a regular basis anyway. Kind of a dumb statement on his part. It's slower in the 1/4 than a '15 GT. May be a good race for an Ecoboost.

I got compliments from a couple of people about my car Friday. One said he liked everything except the rear, then a couple hours later another compliment from a guy that told me the rear is his favorite part of the car. Can't please them all but on the whole it's been positive.
