E85 fuel system arrived today. I have decided to take it to the shop to have it installed, don't even want to mess with it. Dropping car off Monday, will hopefully get it on the dyno to see what numbers are on 93.
What does the fuel system consist of exactly?

I'm curious about install complexity, specifically where the lines run, how hard it is to remove all the stock components, etc. It probably replaces the factory lines using factory locations, etc, but I'm guessing that doesn't make getting the stock stuff out easy or reversible. Never done it myself to know but that's going to be great flow and return rate. I have parts to watch my fuel pressure at the rail and log it coming next week.

I have never run an e85 setup on cars, but have been running straight methanol on bikes for over 15 years and cold start up is a pita! Once a bike is dialed in its better, but by no means is it like a gas motor. My bike motors are very different in the fact they spin 13,000 rpm's along with other differences, but many of my motors I run .018-.020 plug gap. The reason is the charge is so wet due to the amount of fuel it takes to run on methanol.

I'm curious as to how these e85 setups will turn out. I will keep watching these posts. Hats off to all those taking on the project.

Yeah. Cold start is no problem. Hot starts are either "it will start" or "it won't start" and throws CEL and limp mode. Great tuning...

This is exactly why I took my car to a shop. I was tired of fucking with it. All the data logging was driving me insane.

It takes a little time.

Your ltft are not enabled so most likely that's why you are seeing a wonky start and idle. Learn about the tuning process before you begin knocking tuners.

When your maf is dialed in the ltft will be re enabled.

I would if the tuner had communicated in a week with any of 3 people who are talking to me about the same experience with the same guy. Is it normal for a tuner to send a base tune and not do any tune log reviews or revisions for a week? I would think thats not a good idea, but before i go knocking tuners let me see what you think.

No. I can't disagree with you. I've been waiting on him for awhile.

Youre a nice guy with good info. None of my frustration with this is directed at you if it sounded that way by the way.

My last revision was two months ago with him. To be fair we were waiting in new parameters to be available. Although I get very little response from him. I know he was having a minor issue with something personally so I hope that isn't getting in the way. That would be quite unprofessional to take people's money then not deliver services.

I think with the good numbers my car put down and the excitement of the new s550 he is getting overwhelmed with tuning and working full time for hpt.

I don't disagree. But this is my third remote tuner and I gotta say, for now, it's completely unacceptable. I'm limiting my bashing until I hear something back from him, but I'm guessing I'll have E85 fuel pressure rail info at WOT logged for Lund before I hear back from him. If I can get all the data to Lund he might tune it as is. But maybe not, it's worth the $135 in parts to find out at this point. There's no doubt E85 is the most powerful and best way to go with these setups. I was just on MMR's site looking at billet pump gears and sprockets and saw it says we need to replace the secondary chain guides or they'll be cannibalized by the E85 and fail, causing chains to derail and grenade the motor. Also not good. Thinking between a complete engine replacement and just going back to pump gas and making less power with less timing sounds pretty good.

It's all good until it's not all good, then it's regret city lol

Go to the other site, search 'chain guide' and research for yourself.
