I would certainly think that Ford would make a few tweaks to the production/assembly procedures in the plant to improve some of the quality issues.

^^^^ this i'm hoping cuz mine is coming as well.

Why'd they order it Retail >.>
I'm not quite sure how it all works. The info that I believe is true is that stock orders are meant for the dealers lots. And if there was a price increase on the car, that you would have to pay for that increase, whereas retail ordered cars prices are locked in. (I believe that is what I heard anyways.) Someone can correct me if its wrong or inaccurate.

Deysha is telling me my ordered GT should be delivered to the dealer by 8/29. I ordered through Military Auto Source. I hope this date is true!

Sales manager said he'd make it stock instead of retail

We agreed on a monthly and went from there

Don't hold your breath.
I'm not holding my breath but then what is the point of having this "OK to buy" thing and the initial push to build the "stock" orders first for QC reasons?

Sync 3 is software so I think transparent to the assembly line, and there will be one more harness for the hood-mounted turn signals. What else is different?

I have no idea how any of this works but seems if you are going to shut down the assembly line for QC reasons, then maybe QC should sort of be considered. I'm hoping Ford addresses some of the obvious things, like panel alignment and the A/C seats.

But, I'm not holding my breath...:D

Yeah production has started. Deysha helped me out and let me know that mine was built Monday but it is still tied up in QC. Hopefully it will be released from that soon. Thanks Deysha!

Mine has a build date of 8/17. Also hoping the QC process doesn't last long...but I'd rather have a car built right than a car built quickly.

yours shouldn't have quite the QC process mine is having. The first ones off the line are evidently being scrutinized more closely for issues.

I am sure it is standard procedure for any start of production to have QC checks at the start and throughout. If you have read some posts of people who ordered stock, some have been built and are being held for QC. Not sure how long but I would be even more annoyed having my car built and not being shipped lol

Yes, production started on Monday for stock ordered cars.

Mine was among the first of them. :D
I've had my car for 8+ months now, but I'm still a little jealous of you for some reason. It must be the whole 'OMG I CAN'T WAIT TIL IT GETS HERE, LET ME CHECK COTUS FOR THE 73rd TIME TODAY' feeling of anticipation. Kinda like the old saying "getting there is half the fun".

Either way, you'll love it when it shows up!!
