Hey Deysha,

I sent you an appointment info with everything i needed.. however...
the only thing they were able to fix was the USB port...
NO GO on the cooled seats guys, they said there is NO fix....
needless to say, I'm not exactly thrilled about this
Deysha, please check your private messages when you have a moment, I'm looking forward to your response.

By CSM, are you meaning the service manager at the dealer? If so, then yes the service manager was the one who wrote up all of the issues for my car. One issue is, I worked for the this dealer, so I feel as if I get a little run around and low priority some times, especially because my mother actually works for the dealer now, this concerns me because I believe they think I won't complain because of the relationship my mom has working for the dealer.. When I took the car in for the shaker sub they told me they compared all the shakers they had on the lot and they all made the same noisy sound, but I had an opportunity to sit in a friends car as well as another acquaintance and their shaker did not vibrate... Then they had the car for 2 days now and they just told me, well there is no fix for your seats....I'm getting the car back I believe today or tomorrow and my seats and shaker are just cast aside.....

She's referring to the Customer Service Manager (Corporate). The same useless individual I refer to if you scroll up a bit to read my post.

Of course I did. When I talked to my dealer they told me they would have a solution for it.... That's why I got excited, I felt like I may have very well been one of the first to have a corrective fix...

Well im trying to have a dealer look at my car, but they said they dont have any appointments for 2 weeks.

What else can i do? The next dealer is 30 miles away and they are just going to tell me the same that everyone else gets.

No fix from Ford yet ... only a problem to be documented.

Individual dealerships won't be the ones who solve it. Ford Engineering will come up with the fix more than likely from looking at this thread or the one on the F150 site.

If it all works out it should go like this.

1. Ford Engineering comes up with a fix/solution.
2. Ford Issues a TSB with the fix for the F150
3. Ford issues a TSB with the fix for the Mustang weeks later.
4. Dealers still won't be able to fix it until parts are made available from Ford. So if a TSB is issued, no need to rush into the dealership as they won't have the parts available.
5. A few weeks after that parts will become available and people can take it in to be "fixed"
6. We can enjoy a slightly cooler upper seat just in time for winter when we don't need to use it OR it would be cooler anyway from lower ambient temps outside.
7. Ford changes the design on 2017 models.

Desysha, do we need to take it to a ford dealership to have them look at the seats or wait until the parts if any are available to the dealers? Thanks

That what they probably should do but realistically chances they will are about zero. I don't see them fixing cars that are out there since they will have to pay for fixing it, they may implement the fix in new model year. That's how it unfortunately works.

the 2017 fix will be to remove this feature if they see issues across the board and their lineup.

Respectfully, I refuse to accept that line of thinking. Of course it'll cost Ford money to fix existing cars. Why shouldn't it? We paid for the feature and it doesn't work. They owe us a fix or a refund.

Ford also sold some of us squealing brakes and subsequently paid to fix them. Why should we expect less in this case?

You may refuse it, I am telling you what's going to happen. If there's no safety issue, you just calculate if not fixing it is going to cost in future sales. Pretty sure answer is no, would love to be wrong. All companies do that.
