A month or two ago I was filling up my 11 and a very attractive maybe early 30 s lady was drooling over my car. Im 28. We talked (at a gas station out of all places) for a good 15 - 20 minutes about Mustangs since she used to have one. I got her number but forgot it in her head (aka I didn't ask, nor even crossed my mind. Man card revoked).

I would have waved back ...

Sorry guys. I never put my pic on the webs.
However, if you are ever in San Diego, we could meet over Cars & Coffee ;)
Unfortunately not likely to happen, I'm living on the wrong continent :(

I live about 90 minutes away and go to SD about once a month.

I can do coffee sometime or a drink or 2:cheers:

P.S. I'm 24, but age is just a number right?
Come to the Carlsbad cars & coffee ;)

Now that my dad-in-law finally painted his '65, he is fine with showing it off. I had promised him we'd both take our cars. We'll be heading up some Sat after the 4th :)

Ill be in La Jolla/San Diego in 2 weeks (Comic Con). If you're around, bring your car down. Would love to meet another 6G member and I'd give you car props!

If my schedule allows it, I'll see you there:D

Gong sometime mid next-month. Find me when you escape father-in-law for a few minutes so that we can chat;)

Even in Beantown, where it is not the norm to reach out to strangers like where my daughter lives in GA, the glare was just simply- R.U.D.E !

In the Mustang community the SN95 people seem to respect the Fox people but they hate anything newer. The S197 people are all by themselves and seem to detest anything else. The S550 people are divided but many come from other Mustang years and still like them but the V6 people hate the EB drivers and the 5.0L people think everyone else is a poser. The 5.0L Manual guys with the PP think everything else is not a Mustang. Oh the drama.
..
I currently own a SN95, a S197 and a S550. After reading your post I'm more confused than ever on who I'm supposed to hate and ignore.:p

Yea, I should not have posted in absolutes. All the folks that have given me static on my SN95 V6 were S197 owners. Same with the cold shoulder on my S550 (except for EB specific comments).

But, this does not mean ALL owners of these vintages fit these broad general categories. So, I stand corrected on my own behaviors!

For me I almost never notice the waves in time as they kind of surprise me. I haven't had a flashy car in a long time. And good Lord this thing is out of hand. I as pays feel like a Richard head but I typically miss the windows of time. Not to mention I try to keep windows up more on this car to keep it nicer inside. So long story short I think sometimes maybe people aren't necessarily blowing people off. Just missing it.

Oh yeah, plus I tend to be dinking around with gauges, shifter, gas mileage, etc.
