When their cumulative stupid decisions sway the industry to alienate the intended target audience then in the end that stupidity effects all of us negatively.
Wow. That's a pretty ignorant statement considering that you/we who won't pay the ADM are in the minority here. I don't call them stupid, I call them fortunate to afford that.

And I again point out that probably nobody here would be this upset if they buy a car/truck under invoice or cost, right?? Especially something mass produced. Two sides of the bell curve, friend.

The bitterness is strong in this forum and I find it humorous.:lol:

Found 1 at MSRP! Only drawback is they want $5k deposit (non-refundable). Also said they could store the vehicle for me if it arrives in the winter and I can complete the deal in spring. Needless to say I'm not n love with the deposit and I'm trying to make it refundable .I also need to get all of this in writing before I agree.
I'm a dealer and I wouldn't take that deal. There is no reason why that deposit shouldn't be refundable. They'll sellt that car either way if they are selling at sticker. This one smells funny.

I know what you mean, but I don't find it humorous at all. Tedious? Yes. Tiresome? Absolutely. Negative (as opposed to critical)? Yup. It's time to get back to the OP's intent in these threads, before folks start looking for a different forum that focuses on the cars.

So, does anyone know of any dealers with unsold allotments?

From where I stand it's not a question of affordability, to pay a markup. The reality of it is, the resale market does not support ADM on B302's, Gt500's and other limited Mustangs. If it did, then I would likely consider some sort of markup. The depreciation for these cars starts from msrp, and goes down from there. I would agree that the depreciation is not as steep as many other cars but ADM is simply not supported in the resale market.

Naivé ... Because...

You're assuming when Ford or GM or FCA etc etc... Pull the direct buy card that they don't have the ability to deal with such contingencies.

But, as for Tesla.... With as small a market they have... They do offer a courtesy vehicle while things are in their channels for such things. Which is more than some traditional dealerships provide. I know as a witness to my friend having been rear ended in NYC. Called into insurance and then to the Tesla salesman... Boom. Taken care of.
You're talking about a company that has sold a few thousand cars. Wait till they already have millions out there and are selling hundreds of thousands more. This model will NOT work. You can't provide a loaner for every single customer and there will be part shortages and changes made. You're not going to be able to upload a fix every time. Very naive to think that Tesla can survive without a dealer network of some sort. Very naive of Musk too. Tesla already has one of the worst Customer Satisfaction ratings by JD Power. And they get a slap on the wrist right now becuase it's "new tech". The stuff that goes wrong in a Tesla would never suffice to someone paying the same money on a BMW, Jag, MBZ, Lexus, etc.

Really? Because it does here? The last GT500 we sold used with 6k miles was for $68,988. Our Bosses we've sold multiple traded in and have given them good money. They've sold between $38-$45 depending on options/miles. So, you're mistaken. It's one of the reasons Shelby's don't have rebates. The earlier GT500's 07, 08, 09, they built in too great of quantities and are not holding their value as well. Later models certainly do.

Thought I would create another thread where people looking for dealerships can come as a lot of us are out there searching and probably find others along the way. Post here to mention where allocations can be found or to put fans with other fans to hopefully get cars to enthusiasts! MSRP or not, it would be good to see what is out there.

Current info from me:

I got a call back from the friendliest dealer I chatted with yesterday. They are getting 4, with 3 already sold. They will not be MSRP but less than 10 and probably willing to work lower. Just throwing it out there since they were at least really nice about it. PM me if you want details.
ALL - This thread is going to be closed unless it gets back to the original topic posted by the OP (ABOVE).

All further posts that derail the thread will be deleted.

I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but it's worth asking.

Has anyone come across an available R allocation in their searches? I'd like to talk to the dealer about it.

Thanks,
Darren

Hrmmmm, I just can't sleep well with that high of an ADM. They may get it, but I'll have to keep looking.

Thanks for posting the info FTD.
