Drove a mate's VE SS manual ute yesterday without too much embarrassment, so it should be fine.

Interested in the clutch spring removal mod that a lot of our US mates seem to be doing.

Analysis update

There are now 70 responses with some slight changes to the analysis as a result. Magnetic has now pulled into equal first place as the favoured colour in NSW. NSW also has a much higher percentage of future owners in their 20s than the rest of the respondents - just under 50% against about 17%.

We also have twice as many convertible buyers to analyse as before and what is interesting is that half of them are already convertible Mustang owners. I guess it's an addiction! Or a religion? :amen:

In today's news, the 40s cohort are staging a comeback and are now only just behind the 20s in overall numbers. The 30s are way behind and appear unable to catch up with several spotted still in the carpark trying to decide between a new exhaust or a compliant child seat.

Also making up ground in the outfield is Competition Orange which has vaulted into fourth place overall, overtaking the underperforming Black. Indications are that this is mainly due to a surge of nostalgia for the muscle cars of the 1970s. eBay reports a corresponding spike in sales of fluffy dice.

So here goes

Race Red, GT, Convertible.
Got a good deal from a dealer in Castle Hills and am now sitting tight waiting to hear something from them (I know the grapevine is working overtime on this)

I was in the US a couple of months ago and spent a good hour or so with the car at a dealership. Took the whole family along, i.e the wife and the two kids to make sure we fit...which we did, though I dont think it's going to be family car. But I reckon it will work fine for school drop offs, soccer etc.

And yes in terms of which age bracket I fit in...39 when I placed the order, the big 40 happens in November...so will be over the hill when the car comes in (whenever that is!)

For those Sydney based buyers, my dealer contacted me saying one of Ford's promotional vehicles will be available for ONE day for people to come and have a look, and hopefully drive.

No details on spec and probably LHD
