You don't have to go to the dealer for this, you can do it yourself. I had the exact same issue. Open your trunk, and look on the wall where the latch is (between your tail lights, not on the decklid).
You will notice 4 "anchors" where the cargo net would be. These are nuts - unscrew them, and pull out the plastic trim piece (unscrew 4 of them).
There are two bolts to adjust on the latch itself; loosen them and lower them. They are built in such a way where you can adjust them to acomodate for fitment issues like this.
The issue with yours is the trunk panel is sitting too high because the latch was too high.
OK two items to address.
1. slap yourself for driving off lot if that trunk is really closed.
2. Your sales person sucks if they sold you a car like that. They need slapped next.
Heck I have a early build that got twisted from hitting a curb and mine lines up real well. Of course when they went to correct lines they looked at other cars on lot and said screw it we are going by eye and they did very well.
Search "hood latch" and a forum will pop up. It takes 2 seconds to do you just need a 10mm deep well socket and about 5 minutes. I just did mine last night and it worked out great. Some people will tell you to pull the plastic liner up but it's unnecessary. You will need to adjust the hood bumpers after you fix the hood latch (stoll within 5 minutes)Does anyone know how to adjust the hood?
