What is your favorite phone/tablet mounting solution?

Does anyone have a favorite solution for mounting an iPhone and/or a small tablet, primarily for GPS/navigation purposes? I am considering a magnetic mount that goes into the CD player (which I will never use), something like this:

Ideally I'd like the ability to mount either an iPhone or Nexus 7. I don't have the car yet (3 weeks until it arrives) so can't be sure how the mounting solutions will look/work. I'm getting a GT convertible. And yes, I skipped the nav option because frankly I won't use it very often, and I thought $750 was too much when the iPhone GPS options are superior and include automated traffic avoidance as well.

I love the mountek in my current vehicle. One thing is you nee to keep it clean. Pollen and dust will get on the silicon face of the holder and then when you put the phone there it will slide off. Take a lense wipe and wipe it off every couple of weeks and it will hold great. I'm not sure if I'm going to use it in my mustang yet, I'm considering the Kenu instead http://www.amazon.com/Kenu-Airframe...&qid=1430264988&sr=1-2&keywords=kenu+airframe
to get it out of the cluster area. Maybe I'll just let it sit in the tray under the toggles.

Either way, these things are great for travel when you rent a car and want to use GPS.

I installed the mount from Proclip earlier this week. It is perfect, using the iPhone 6plus mounting bracket.

Steelie. Far and away the cleanest looking mount.

I guess the down side is that the mount is permanent, but I'm guessing you wouldn't be removing a removable mount every time you take your phone out of it anyway.

By permanent I mean you cannot take it off/put it back on at will. It is removable, but once removed you'd need to get more adhesive to reinstall.

Edit: And the way I have mine mounted, it does not block or interfere with the screen or any buttons/dials.
