Pics in your car?

Steelie. Far and away the cleanest looking mount.

I have mine mounted to the right of the screen.

I guess the down side is that the mount is permanent, but I'm guessing you wouldn't be removing a removable mount every time you take your phone out of it anyway.

By permanent I mean you cannot take it off/put it back on at will. It is removable, but once removed you'd need to get more adhesive to reinstall.

Edit: And the way I have mine mounted, it does not block or interfere with the screen or any buttons/dials.

put it in the glove and stop fucking around with tablets & phones when you're driving. :)
I agree. but for navigation purposes a decent mount would be nice. especially if it doesn't take your eyes off the road... I always have my wife navigate for us but we always end up fighting because she will tell me to turn as we pass the turn or exit then I have to turn around and its frustrating. haha.

Here you go. I still need to get a shorter (1.5ft) lightning cable and route it more cleanly.

I have my Scosche magnetic mount in exactly the same spot.

Kind of hard to do that if you use your phone/tablet for GPS...

Obviously don't mess with it and change direction while driving, but it's not distracting to use as nav.

Great minds.... :) I don't think the Scosche magnetic mount looks as clean as the Steelie when no device is on it, but I will admit after watching the video, it does seem to secure the device more firmly that the Steelie. Not that the device mounted on the Steelie is going to come off or anything (far from it, in fact), but there can be some movement.

I'm very happy with how secure the mount is. You put a flat, thin metal back on your phone and it has a lot of area to grab. Friends have been very impressed with how well it holds.

I might give one a try. I like how you can set and lock in the angle.

Very cheap too. I picked it up for $9 at Meijer (was on clearance, down I think from $13.99). That, and the metal back doesn't protrude in your pocket, and it lets you have fun at your work desk spinning the phone :D

The steelie case mount is round (about the diameter of nickel) and little less than a 1/4" tall. I bet my phone desk spins better - na na nanaaaa na.
