Couple questions that's been really bugging me...

Relevant-to-post mods:
-Stainless works 3inch catback
-JLT CAI
-BAMA Tune

1. Installed tune. Car runs VERY slow under 3000 RPM, and seems like no gains have been made past 3000 RPM. Very hard to get in to 1st gear (after mods) - What might be the reasons to this? (waiting on email tune revision)

2. With the tunes installed, does it matter which drive setting the car is in? Will the tune work if the car is in sport mode? Or will the car work only if the drive mode is in NORMAL?

Thanks!

There are about a dozen threads on this already. Tune works with all drive modes.

***Important update for those unaware***

If in fact there are a dozen posts on this like you said, and you still believe the tune works on all drive modes, i have some bad newz.

Contacted Bama.
Ford's tune WILL override JLT/Bama tune once car is toggled to sport mode. Was advised that JLT is working on this issue*

Charles,

Thanks for emailing in. Our tunes only effect the car when the car is in normal mode. When you switch to Sport mode, the Ford factory tune overrides our tunes, and you will be in the Ford factory sport mode tune. SCT is working on this issue, and hopefully they will have an update for it soon. I hope this helps. Thanks, and have a nice day!

Would love some more feedback from you guys. Especially those with the following mods:

-3inch exhaust
-jlt cai
-bama tune with sct tuner

I mean, this is ridiculous. 8-10mpg street. Poor acceleration. Just sheer confusion. Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks in advance guys.

This is news. Other tuners/reps are always saying that the drive modes won't effect the tune, that the drive modes only change throttle response etc.

Still waiting for Bama to answer this question i replied back with:

Since toggling the car from normal to sport mode makes Ford's tune override Bama's, what happens when i switch back to normal drive? Do i have to upload the tune everytime i accidentally toggle the car to sport mode, then back to normal mode?

Do you get a CEL when you switch to sport mode? I figured you would since the JLT requires a tune outside of the Ford factory tune.

Ah, interesting observation. No, I don't get a CEL.

Car just accelerates slower under 3000 rpm after mods

Did you update SCT before installing tune?

I have always been told that your car will only hold one tune at a time.
