Yes and yes. It almost sounds like a noise coming from behind the trans, rearend maybe? Doesn't bother me though.

Now that's funny!

FYI, 43 degrees this morning, I have a few more miles on the fluid change. Started the car, rinsed off all the greenish/yellow crap we call pollen as it warmed up and pulled out of the driveway. Butter smooth this morning. Not one notchy shift at all today. And the shifting after warming up seemed to be better than usual also. I'm thinking the trans needed some time working the new lube into all the parts??

I was able to get some BG from a buddy that works at a repair shop. I'll report back after I do the change!

I put the BG Syncroshift 2 in the same time I installed the steeda mount insert, very noticeable improvement right away. Much smoother. These two mods, combined with my Boomba weighted knob made and night and day difference for under $200.

I just did the Royal Purple Synchromax fluid swap last night and I must say I'm impressed and along withe the steeda clutch line and Ate Dot4 fluid I'm really liking this combo. If your on the fence might as well do it cheap enough to try it.

I just filled up with severe gear for the rear diff and synchromesh in the trans. I must say the shifting has gotten better.

I'm going to try Motul soon as well

I just wanted to post this for what it's worth to the owners who were and are experiencing a thud when shifting.

I too, Experienced this - Changed fluid @ 5k to Royal Purple Syncromax.. Thud went away - thought "Awesome, must of just been some dirty fluid from break in.." Well - Perhaps that was the case but I started picking up a slight "Bite/thud" into second at 8,000. 8,300 now the car is @ Ford for a failed 2nd gear synchro..

I'm not trying to alarm anyone, and I'm not pointing fingers anywhere - Just something to be noted for those experiencing a "thud".

I have no details on the transmission yet. I just dropped it off today.

Geez, at first I thought you meant 8,000 and 8,300 rpm - I was going to say, maybe shifting so high caused the issue. Then dawned on me you must be talking mileage?
