I just had my new Ford Racing by Borla exhaust installed today. Sounds great, aggressive, tight, but I have one question/complaint:
There seems to be this sort of ringing pipe noise whenever the rpms get 3k+ and comes and goes when I accelerate only. Is this a normal noise from an aftermarket exhaust? Or is it what I think and there's a hole or leak somewhere... Does NOT sound like drone of any kind.
Thanks in advance!
***EDIT: it's not so much a ringing pipe noise as it is a sound that is similar to when you wet your finger and run it along the outside of a glass. Another example would be the sound you get from blowing over the top of a glass coke bottle. I have no, NO idea if this is normal. The guy who installed my Ford Racing Borla cat back exhaust said it was off by 2" so he cut it at the coupling... which he should have had to do... but I digress... needless to say I am nervous that this guy ruined my $1,400 exhaust system.
