GT350 vs. F82 M4

price-wise they will be very, very similar (manual vs. manual), especially if you use the ED price of the M4.

performance-wise, M4 with a JB4 tune will yield close to 460-470whp/470lb-ft which will surely match gt350's whp. Torque will be completely in M4's favor by close to 100lb-ft on the wheels at a way lower rpm.

When I put my deposit down I told the GM, this thing better not cost more than m4, else I am pulling out. He assures me that it won't.

Never had an american car, always Europeans. This will be my first Ford, looking forward to it.

I got offered an F82 M4 for $64K and that included 19" wheels, extended leather, manual tranny and HK sound system. The car already has Sat/Nav standard. They are going to be more expensive anyway you slice it. Also, the deals on ED aren't that good for the M3/4, not when you factor in the cost of airfare and such.

I wanted to do ED with my 2013 M3 but couldn't swing it.


The F8X cars will be a tad lighter than the GT350 and make a ton more torque. I feel the GT350 with its high revving NA motor will be a better track tool though. Street car wise the M4 is tough to beat.,

75-110k before tax, tags, and fees. They get fairly expensive and the gt350 should out perform it, but in my opinion lack a little of the luxury.

Where are you getting $110K? Maybe $100k if you want a vert...the coupes at most top out around $85K with every bell and whistle.

Mine came out to $67K, don't want the DCT nor the ceramics. The car bases at $64K. I was able to get the car for $500 over invoice which came out to just under $64K.

No they aren't, not even close. 65-91k is about the top I've seen them go for with the 8k CC brakes and all options. I'm not considering the convertible because who wants a convertible M (also no comparable GT350)

I guess what I am saying is, if you include the dealer discount on M4(manual), plus the 5-7%ED savings (in USA), the final price will come really close to a MSRP GT350.

and for me personally, I am not buying a 350 if the price is above a M4. The fit and finish is not even remotely compariable.

M4 in my opinion is already a steal, add a 500 dollar JB4 you basically have a 3500lb 500hp/500tq track monster that also does DD job very well.

Weight does make a big difference, and in all likelihood, the m4 should be lighter than the gt350. Also it seems all of bimmer's engines are indeed underrated.

M4 is around 35xx lbs manual.

All of the BMW turbo engines are very underrated; brand new x5m dynoed 535whp, 560whp, meaning that engine is actually rated more like 650/650+. that is Z06 ratings right there.

Motortrend had some track times at Willow Springs I think, and the GT/PP was between the M4 and Lexus LF RC or whatever that coupe is called. The Camaro 1 LE blew the other three out of the water IIRC. So the GT/PP was pretty close, but not quite equal to the M4.

I definitely expect the M4 to be of higher interior quality, but I am totally fine with the quality of the Mustang. I think the Mustang has a much more interesting engine, and will be a much more interesting car. The turbo engine on the M4 kinda ruins the excitement for me.

The GTPP was only 0.5 seconds slower than the m4 according to the Motortrend lap times and that was with the 255 front and 275 rear tires! Even with a tire swap the GTPP might best the m4 who knows, but if the GT350 is really what everyone is talking about then m4 has no chance against it! Just my 2 cents!

Using ED price is misguided. Remember you have to pay to get there and back. Most people that go will make a vacation out of it. IMO, what you save on the car with ED, you spend on the vacation (and then some.)
