I'm really hating the front plate. How does it look to you guys?
Honestly I do not even notice the front plates anymore since all of my cars for the past 25 years have had one. I think it is much ado about nothing personally, looks just fine to me.

won't the tint interfere with the wiper rain sensor on the windshield?
Nope. The sensor sits against the windshield so the tint will go around it. I have the brow on my Mustang and my Fusion and have never had issues with rain sensors on either car.

I don't like it, which is why I had my dealer leave the bracket off and I put a Sto-n-Show on mine. I get away with not running my plate around town as I'm in a military town so cops don't really look for the front tags around here. We don't have stop light cameras or license plate tolls here either. If I drive up to Denver where the cops are dicks I'll put it on.

Chris, Ahem...
Do you care to expand on or revise your remarks!
( i do see a retractable plate.... but that is not lag bolting it to your baby's bumper!)

Your silver stripes are still my favorite and what I'd like to do to mine. If memory serves, yours are painted, right? Good to see you today. I have been playing with the camera, but have not taken the time to educate my self much there. When time... well OK, my OCD on other things lessens!

Do you recall which retractable plate holder you used? I won't go with a below bottom lip mount because I am afraid uf eventually scraping the bracket AND my plate off. Is it a motorized one? If so, how do you like it?

Using my pictures against me I see. The car had the "stow and show" (I think that was the brand, never personally verified) plate holder when I got it, put on by the first owner, so that was not my doing. :) Was not motorized and my take was that it was pretty flimsy, did not feel strong at all. But I stand corrected... I did have one car that did not have the front plate bolted on, but it was always "up" whenever I was driving around, not hidden. :)

And yes the stripes were painted and clear-coated, but again was done by the previous owner so any more I do not know. Looked very nice though, more upscale than the vinyl ones though both look decent. Not sure if it is worth the cost, depends on the person. Permanent though, so no just peeling them off if you do not like them. :)

Best Regards,

Chris

Mine arrived at the dealer, I think the whole crew should spend the rest of the day getting it ready for to pick up, that way I can pick it up tonight.

Does anyone notice they're radio cutting out ( 1 or 2 sec) when opening the top? Mine does that and I was wondering if it was normal. ..

Mine does that too. Are we suppose to have some kind of audible tone when the top is done opening or closing?
Hey guys. What happens when the radio cuts out is that it's changing the equalizer for it to sound better due to the different acoustics with the top down. I've notice that the highs get higher and the lows are a little more powerful. I read about this a few different places. It's pretty neat! :)

I asked about this in a different thread and someone said it was normal because radio switches the audio tone when the top is down (volume goes up slightly maybe?) still seems odd to me.
