First thing I saw when I entered the show was this GT350 in the proper colors! Beautiful rotor behind the wheel. Had to laugh at the window sticker.

It was locked for your protection because if you opened the door the TRUNK monkey would beat you down!
I've never understood that warning. What could possibly harm you inside the car? Does it have a leaky radioactive flux capacitor? Has Terminix sprayed for roaches and other critters? Has someone farted after eating Mexican refried beans and some Indian food upon exiting the vehicle? I just don't know!

But yeah, beautiful and incredible car.

The government sanctioning body hasn't approved it. And you know that the government is the only organization that is capable of making a determination whether a car is safe or not.

I have had my trunk monkey in all of my previous cars along with my current GT :D Loving the new GT350, looks great in the white w blue stripe & really has a nice stance.

I can speculate on many reasons the car was locked.

Could be the interior is a show car interior where some of the parts look right but are just flimsy shells.

Could be they don't want it dirtied up by the aforementioned ethnic food, or mustard dripping from a hot dog. (I rather doubt this one.)

Could be they don't want to show the whole car yet. (And keep guys like me drooling over it until I can place my order.)

Could be...

The white R that was in Richmond was locked also, but it didn't have that window sticker on it, I asked them to open the door and the hood, they said they couldn't because it was a prototype.

I wasn't fortunate to go to some special event or be "connected". I was just a Saturday attendee at a car show. No, I'm not jealous or envious of those of you that have been fortunate enough to spend time IN the car. Ok, maybe a little envious!

Trying going to law school-----------
There is a whole big world out there......that many haven't a clue about, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

It is a prototype....NOT a unit built for the public. They may be testing various seat retainers, different pedals lengths, testing wiring may still exist in the footwell, air bags not installed or activated etc etc etc.... lots of things some nob from the general public (including little kids) could potentially hurt him/herself on and the first that thing person is gonna due is blame and sue Ford saying the car was unsafe, it was a prototype, etc.

Are all prototype cars "unsafe"...sure at same stage in the testing process and not at other times such as when the prototype is near production level (why they are called prototype - it ain't finished)... Much easier for liability purposes to simply ban ALL non Ford folks from prototype vehicles. I'm pretty sure Ford's insurance carriers have such clauses in their liability policies....

It is also way most prototype cars are crushed and not sold...........
