Well I'm back. Some of you who know me know I purchased a 2015 Corvette.
I love this car but unfortunately on April Fools tragedy struck.
A guy in a F350 decided it would be cool to drive over my Stingray....literally. He was parked next to me turned his wheel and drove over the wheel, fender and nose.(i was parked all alone) He tried running but a good Samaritan stopped him. The rim/tire may need to be replaced but the Fender, headlight, upper/lower nose, grill, all aero, ducts, I belive some support arms for engine bay, marker light...possibly suspension components. Let's just say it got pretty messed up. The pictures don't do the damage justice.
Let's just say I don't know how I stayed calm. Well I came to the conclusion with my wife that I dont want to own a $62k car where people run over cars before the first oil change.(weekend car it would be great but DD everywhere you go is a panic attack) Since we are positive on our loan we decided after the repairs we are going to sell it for a profit.
Well I wasn't going to drive a rental Toyota Camry for the next two weeks. After much research and bouncing between a Scat Pack or 5.0....
2015 GT Premium Guard, stick, 400, Nav, Sec, Reverse, Track Pack, Ceramic leather. 20 miles on the odo (probably a test drive) cut my monthly payment pretty much in half. I have to say I love this car. Don't get me wrong the C7 is amazing but they are not comparable cars so I won't. So far though it puts a smile on my face when my right foot goes down and even on the crap 87 fill the back end breaks loose in Sport+
The color brought me to my knees. It's so glorious in person and the sun and the black accent is killer.
Well enough babbling from me. Good to be back and I'll miss my C7 but the S550 is a mighty fine replacement.
PS I thought it was bad having a 30 to 40k dollar car being damaged yeah I almost puked with the Vette.
Can't wait to catch up with some of you guys.
