Welcome back man. I too am a 'Vette guy going to pick up a S550 today. There's really no comparison between the cars except that I'd stress every time I went somewhere in the Vette because of issues like you just had. They're great weekend cars, but I can't stomach buying a new one and having a $65k machine sitting the garage, while I can have 90% of the fun 90% of the time in a car costing 50% less.

Long time no see! Really sorry to hear about your loss but glad to see you made out pretty well and made the right color choice.

Coincidentally, I made friends with a guy at a car meet yesterday that had a blue Z51 C7 with a 6MT. And here I thought our clutch pedal was light!!!

Thanks man. Yeah I was very unsure on the color but when I saw it I fell in love. It's really menacing with the black.

Haha yeah I'm trying to get use to the Mustangs hyper sensitive gas pedal but I love the thrill it's like a bucking horse.

Wow. That same garbage happened to me...albeit a $4k quad, not a $60k car...but the guy did flee. Thankfully security cameras caught everything. Did the repairs myself for 10% what the dealer would've done (totaled it) and he still didn't wanna pay! I regret not having it totaled.

Anyways, welcome back! Excellent choice, as well!!

I don't think she can ticket him for traffic violations BUT she certainly can charge him with attempting to leave the scene of an accident he caused IF the witness said he was trying to run.

Congrats on the Mustang! The Vette is a world class sports car. I like all performance cars-I am not a brand snob. Funny enough I was in traffic yesterday behind a 2014 911 Porsche Turbo(think $150k.). I noticed the car was smoking from the engine bay(I thought it was overheating) and caught up with him at the next light and motioned to him to lower his window. He explained his power steering was acting up and he knew about the smoke. We talked cars for a minute, he thanked me, roared off and waved. Usually Porsche guys are snobbish dickheads, but this guy was actually nice.
