It's fun (and sad) to read this, when here even the 2.3L is a luxury car. At the moment we have to pay 760 eur yearly road tax and 920 eur yearly luxury tax. The 5.0L would be really out of question: 1000 eur annual tax and 1500 eur annual luxury tax!
Yeah, thats why I love Australia!

Don't say that.

My best friend who moved two years ago to Melbourne, have experienced a shock!
He's telling me that there are everywhere speed tickets cameras , I mean everywhere, with max. speed 40 km/h especially at tricky places (downhill etc) . Yes 40!
At 45 you get a ticket and points.
max. speed is 100km/h at highways.

It is ridiculous to have V8 etc in Australia although there are many exotics cars..... (probably just to decorate people garages....)

Check this out: Fines from speed tickets is MAJOR income for government.

He's telling me that for EVERY accident , authorities always blame speed.....and always reduce limits and put new camera.... (more income)

NO, I don't love Australia.

Thanks untamed - of course they don't have the 50th corralled grille. Been looking through fordparts.com and not sure what parts these are ... Looks like the Gt grille is $75 there?!!

Also remember that even the GT get the special lower part we get in the US if equipped with ACC (or a Canadian model which also have the heater)

The 75 seems to be for only the pony :)

Actually if anyone would actually realise. ALL OF THOSE THINGS ARE TO KEEP PEOPLE SAFE!!!! If we didn't have these speed cameras we would have shitloads more deaths! Also another reason for them putting speed limits so low, is that there are so many animals that walk/hop across the road and cause crashes! Also, in some places its 110/120km/h

So, i.e. Germany with unlimited speed at Autobahns , does not care for people safety, correct?

Come on, it is far more obvious that they mostly care for revenues under the "hood" of safety.....

we have the same speed limits, only a bit higher, but the fact is that here anyone respect them! What I like of Australia (and USA) is that most of people respect the law, and law is enforced.
These two factors made of these nations a better place to live.

Australia ist about 21,5x bigger than Germany and has only about 1/4th of its population. We have unlimited speed on big parts of our autobahns (not within city limits though). Still our traffic safety is very good - especially if you consider how crowded we live over here compared to you. Crashes on highspeed autobahns are rather rare though. Safety is not the reason they are limiting you to 100km/h everywhere. If Germany can manage to do it safely than so does Australia.

I have a new (twin set grill) GT look for my ecoboost - like the agressive look- and got the runing pony instead of the faux gas cap for the back which is great on my '66 (in fact on that car it's a real gas cap) but can't imagine to be great on the 2015... (My feeling, don't like 'faux' things in general))
If you order a GT at start grill is fine of course...

Sure there will be US drivers interested in buying my original EU faux gas cap back panel...(have a couple interested already..)
This YouTube review of an US GT has the rubbish lower grill.

Ford will have its reasons to implement that lower grille with the block heater. I wouldnt recommend to change that, it's really risky

Probably... There might be a cover or something to plug it in... Could always be jury rigged if we want te lower fangs aswell... Seeing as we don't get ACC which is why they went with the 'EU' lower on US Stangs (if memory serves me correct)

I kinda chuckle to myself as a Canadian because I can remember when fellow enthusiasts were angry North American versions of european cars had different headlights, bumpers and detail differences--not to mention often a little less HP

You are right. Americans are angry european imports are different and we are angry american imports are different...

Besides HP which is different for warmer climates, which I understand(like South Africa), the looks and cosmetics overall shouldn't be changed! It's a car regardless of regulations! Hitting a person with your car in Europe is the same as hitting in NA. Why Europe must have dumbo mirrors? Europeans have crappier eyes than Americans? How about hitting a person with a huge mirror compared with a slim sportier mirror?
It's crap imho. Some modifications are necesary ofc, but most of them are useless and are just to mess with companies, to charge them extra for import and etc....
Just my two angry cents.
