Some info from Diode Dynamics on the taillights :

The wiring harness for the US-spec and EU-spec tail lights will be completely different

I imagine the plugs are different as well

I love it !:doh::headbonk::doh::headbonk::doh::brokenheart:

I don't care. I will make my tail lights red and sequential!
I'm going to major in car electronics if I have too.
A Mustang without red tail lights and sequential signals is like a Rolls without the spirit of ecstasy(a little exaggeration to prove a point).
In the end it's just wires and unless you need to change the shape or the tail light or of the car body, it shouldn't be impossible, even with different plugs, wires, colors.

I may replace the rear panel to get rid of the gas cap at some point if only because I think it may end up being scratched over time. (It's only plastic afterall). I am not too bothered with the functionality of the taillights. I think I'll get used to the clear glass. The combination with the silver wheels and chrome accents, I think it won't be too bad.

You may to revisit that - most of the Mustangs here do not have sequential tail lights and they're as good Mustangs as any other ones.

Not to mention that in (most?) parts of Europe sequential lights are illegal. Red turn indicators in the back are OK though, but they have to be distinguishable from brake/hazard lights etc. in the way they operate. (This is one of the main issues in the mods that I have seen being proposed.)

Hmm, I'm sorry then, I read that mustangs come with sequential turn signals as standard and the raxiom circuit makes the breaks, hazards and lock/unlock sequential also.

Idk if they are illegal, it's illegal to modify your car without passing the proper testing from the local authority, but so is adding 300 hp, lowering suspension, changing the exhaust and so forth. But that doesn't stop us from doing it.
I might be judged and criticized, but I for one take extra care in traffic of a car that I've invested thousands of euros in and also will not do mods that may cause confusion to others in traffic. For example I do not agree with sequential braking, as people might think it's hazard, but the turn signal is ok, I mean, the lights that indicate turning left are blinking.

Edit: ow and I am aware that in civilized countries, police can tell if a car is standard or not and they can check, but back home, nobody gives a damn how it looks, if it's an exotic car they care even less...

Look what I found...

According to Nick from Diode Dynamics connections might be different in EU. At least with these pictures we'll have something to compare with...

Tail : 0.5W
STOP & Turn : 2W

I can't believe we're making such a fuss over some tail lights, and nobody has mentioned anything about the fact we have been robbed of horsepower!

Why do you say that?

According to ford.com website
310 horsepower*
320 lb-ft. of torque*
Best-in-class 21 city/32 hwy/25 combined mpg**

According to ford.ro website
Rezultatul: 310 CP, cuplu de 434 Nm, eficienta a combustibilului surprinzatoare si emisii de numai 190 g/km CO2.
Translated is Result: 310 HP, 434 Nm torque etc...

According to ford.de website
oder 2,3-l-EcoBoost-Benzinmotor mit 231 kW (314 PS):

So the same power. There are documents where it states 315, but that's PS. My dealer brochure has 314 written on it, but it's 310 HP.
Also, if you live in a hot country like South Africa or South East Asia, your HP will be lowered so the engine can cope with the heat. VW and Audi does it for their S, RS and R cars.

http://www.statman.info/conversions/power.html
Input 314/315 horsepower measured in metric/DIN/PS and you will get @310 horsepower measured in HP.

Mhmm cool, PS is metric power and HP is mechanical power. PS is used by the germans and HP is more of an imperial unit. Thanks Wiki.

Right, ecoboost.

I'm not interested in the ecoboost. I'm talking about the GT.
