Dead battery. Really?!

I got my car the day before thanksgiving. Drove it twice. Has 110 miles on it. Its been garaged all winter starting it up every couple weeks. Went out yesterday an it was stone dead. So dead a charger wont even bring it back to life. Wtf! Will they warranty a dead battery?

girlfriend left a light on in her brand new mazda 6 then was gone for 2 weeks. she came back and the battery was completely dead. a brand new battery charger and 1.5 hours later and the car started right back up. battery seems fine now.

Im just amazed that it wont even charge. The little indicator in the battery is red

you will need a battery tender for extended storage. consider how cheap the chargers are, its much better than a dead battery.

I have this from sears which works extremely well. you can just plug it into 12V accessory plug.

Could try setting the alarm to perimeter only so the interior motion sensors aren't always on.

My '05 was the same way. After two weeks the battery would die. It had the security pkg also.

Put a battery tender on it, only takes a minute. Just starting it every couple weeks without the battery recharging significantly will discharge it eventually. Try hooking the charger up and leaving it on for a couple hours, sometimes the battery will start charging again. But get a battery tender.

The "smarter" battery chargers won't charge a completely dead battery.
You might have to have the dead battery jumped to a good battery.

Ya know how hard it is to install your roush wing because your battery is dead an you gotta climb thru into the trunk to hit the manusl release? Lol
