Where? Could you provide a link to where someone here has said that the dealerships may have access to more info than we are able to get?

There are MANY of us waiting for our cars from the 02/02 build week and I can assure you that not one of our dealerships knows any more about this hold than we do. Sure, there is some speculation and some may be willing to sit on hold with upper level Ford employees trying to gain more information but they haven't produced any more information than we already knew.

~There is a hold for that week's builds.
~They are still listed as "in production".
~Some have started moving this week.
~Most will be moved this week and next.
~COTUS and the EDD will update once there is movement.

We're all in the same boat so trust me, I understand your frustration.
MsBlur, There isn't a link. I just recall some here saying that dealers may be able to provide more info than we are able to get. Whether it is true or not...I don't know. My main point was that my dealer isn't getting back to me when I try to contact them. Like they are not interested in even communicating with me now that my order was already made.
If they DO have any info. I would like to know what it is, instead of being kept in the dark about it. COTUS is virtually of No use to me right now. There hasn't been a change there in almost 3 weeks now.
Some body in Flat Rock is doing something. Our cars can't be just sitting in some lot, forgoten about can they?

They are sitting in -20F degree weather, frozen solid. When someone opens the door to check them out it will be just one big crack and the whole thing will shatter like glass hitting the floor. The sound wave will trigger all other mustangs to instantly do the same and shatter into a million pieces.

On a less serious note, my order shows 1 day from EDD on COTUS, still "awaiting shipment". Dealer said he would check on it but you know how that goes.

Second time I get approved for a loan since I ordered it, this time it expires late March, I hope that is enough time!

Dealerships have access to the same information that Rachel has access to.

"mikef523": welcome to the club! I have sent multiple emails to my Mustang Salesperson and the Sales Manager. They have never replied or acknowledged receipt of my emails.
The ONLY time I can get any information from them is when I stop into the dealership and face them directly. My convertible is stuck in "production" (after assembly) for three weeks, and I am now beginning to worry that my car is going to arrive with multiple problems. If the dealership seems not to be in too much a rush to get a check for over $40,000...what will be their response to a slew of warranty repairs?

I have had similar experiences with my dealer. I tried multiple times to email my salesman for information with no response. Then I tried emailing the sales manager and never got any response. I knew who was in charge of ordering at the dealership though and finally emailed him. He has been very good about responding to my emails even though he doesn't normally deal with retail customers.

I absolutely agree that the dealerships should at the very least respond to emails and phone calls in regards to our special order vehicles, I just don't think they have any better information on the hold than Rachel here on the forums.

Yes, someone in Flat Rock IS doing something, it's just WHAT they are doing doesn't constitute an update to COTUS.

Frustrating, isn't it? :frusty:

Sorry, but, that's not true.
Actually, it is true. The dealership has access to the same database that Rachel uses to provide us information.

I agree, if a dealer has a personal contact at Flat Rock, then they could have access to information far in excess of what may be found in a computer database.

Apparently my dealer and Rachel have different information about my order. My dealer says it changed to awaiting shipment and now Rachel says it is still in production. I don't know what is going on. If it doesn't get in transit by the end of the week I'm buying one off the lot somewhere.
