1 - H-pipe or no exhaust scavenging?

2 - Dual tip or quad tip?

I'm not concerned about performance with the exhaust, just tone. Please help with an explanation or a reference where I can find answers.

It sounds a bit like the exhaust is going into a pillow. I know. A muffler that's muffled? That's what mufflers do. If you have ever heard the old wooden sport boats, that's what I'm searching for.

MRT is deep with minimal drone. Great tone. Has an h pipe. There's a 14 minute video on the forum with a nice review. As well as youtube
Stainless works with h pipe is deep as well. Tons of videos on that.
Check out the exhaust sound thread. Has all of them in the first post.

Problem with that is the engine. That's a carb fed pushrod motor. The mod motors/Coyote will never sound like that.

I hear ya. I love the sound of a v8 in a mid-sixties Chris-Craft. :headbang:

I do like the MRT the best from what I have heard from Youtube videos. The problem is with all the tricks for enhancing sound, it's really hard to tell from a video. It is good for me to get extra input from others listening, and they might hear something that I don't.:gossip:

I really appreciate all that can help.:clap2:

Ya I know what you mean. A guy not associated with MRT did a great review while driving. I'll try to find it and link it

As far as deepest, Magnaflow.

I'm really particular about the sound of my car's exhaust. I spent countless hours researching. I was going to go with ARH but I kept hearing it was the loudest of the current offerings so I pulled the trigger on MRT. I should have it here and installed this week.

The only negatives I read about it, other than price change, is that it has a slight drone under load when under powered (floor it in 6th gear at 55mph) and I read one or two people say it doesn't sound quite as good at WOT as it does out of WOT. I'm banking on that statement being false since it is based on recorded audio which will not give an accurate representation of sound when it is close to clipping.

I'll post a review once I have it on.

Checkout the FlowMaster Outlaw Axle-Back.

I plan on getting long tube headers and an X-Pipe in the future to help make it sound more aggressive, But I already love these! They sound great in person, Trust!

I feel like an ass, But at red lights I like to rev and people crossing get scared lol.

I've heard most of them, the magnaflow competition are the deepest sounding, I'd say too much for some people.

IMO Exhaust notes, CAI, shifters, car polish/wax et al are purely subjective to the individual and there is no "best" one. That being said, I have the Hooker AeroChambers on my '05 GT with a MAC Prochamber (stock cats) and the sound is very deep. It's only a little louder than stock, but noticeable. However as I said, the tone is very deep and rattles the windows on my house :)
