The turbo 2.3 sure packs a mighty punch in a small package. Its also one of the very few turbo 4s already set up for rear wheel drive. So the big question if you ended up with a crate 2.3 what would it go in? For me it'd have to be an 03 Ranger. Lighter than the popular 5.0 HO swaps and putting out more power. A turbo ranger with a pre-runner suspension set would be a beastly little rig. So how about you whats your 2.3 dream swap?

I want to put it in a 60s Mustang or Falcon convertible. It would be such a good cruzer, maybe even do and IRS swap too.

I dream of putting my 408 cube, 1200 RWHP, 91mm turbo LS into my 2015 EB Mustang. That is my dream swap.

Something small and lightweight... Hell an FRS/BRZ. Buy a totaled one and rip it apart. Drop the 2.3 in, fix the damage, and fix that crappy interior! I think that would be one hell of a fun car to drive!

Miata is always the answer. I've had two turbocharged ones and they were the bee's knees.

Ha I was waiting for this answer we know who the jalop is now. Next up will be a 2.3 brown Volvo wagon swap (which is not a bad idea...)

I read a few articles on your builds. All were drool-worthy.

I'm right there with you.

I really wish Ford would bring the Ranger back and offer it with something from the Ecoboost lineup... even if it is the 1.6.

In my 944. The LT1 currently in it is nice, but the benefits of having a modern turbo-4 in there...

oh hell yes! Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that would be cool. I definitely filed that one in my head as a future possible project when I heard about the stang ecoboost engine.

That or maybe factory five type65 with that gt350 engine inside of it...mmm
