  1. Single siding the stock exhaust.

Yeah the single side from ultimate racing is my eventual destination . But it also does make sense that the bottle up might slow down the pulses.
  2. Single siding the stock exhaust.

So I had a thought. My biggest complaint with the EB is the use of two mufflers for a single exit exhaust. So I a thinking of cutting one side off just behind the resonator and capping it. At the least it would pick up a bit of sound and drop some weight. Thoughts?
  3. Boomba Racing Intake Manifold and Throttle Body Spacers

I had a V6 Camaro before this and the best mod short of forced induction was a manifold and throttle body spacer. It wasnt unheard of to pick up 30 lbs ft on an NA car.
  4. Boomba Racing Intake Manifold and Throttle Body Spacers

Exactly I like seeing new parts announced on here but now everytime someone new comes a bunch of guys who don't have the car put up two or three pages of BS. Back on topic the spacer should give guys who DD the car a very nice power bump down in the driving range of the car. In the real world it...
  5. Boomba Racing Intake Manifold and Throttle Body Spacers

Mother of god this is a ridiculous thread. First off Boomba has done some great stuff for the Focus ST. If you guys want power out of this car you are going to have to trust the turbo 4 cylinder companies. I know guys who are sponsered by Boomba who swear by the products. Guve them a chance...
  6. ecoboost turbo lag?

I think it may be just you. The small turbo in the Ecoboost spools up at a very low RPM. If you are looking for more throttle response look into a cat-less downpipe, a tune, and an intake.
  7. So I drove some GTs today...

    1. A tune is a reflash of the cars ECU modifying multiple parameters to optimize engine out put. They are very effective in factory turbo cars which are set up to be extremely safe. 2. Yep exactly the 289 came out the next year. 3. Hell if I know
  8. FFTEC EcoCore FMIC Special Introductory Pricing!

Exactly besides in a tuned car with bolt ons its not out of the relm of possibillity for the car to pick up a few MPGs purely because the engine is making power more efficiently in daily driving situations. This offsets the increased fuel use during "enthusiastic driving."
  9. FFTEC EcoCore FMIC Special Introductory Pricing!

I promise Im not trolling... But if you care that much about economy then why look into power adders? Any savings in MPGs over a tank via leaving the AGS in will be negated the moment you go WOT.
  10. FFTEC EcoCore FMIC Special Introductory Pricing!

Hey a note on the AGS. I come from Focus ST world and almost everybody there removed the AGS when they went to a bigger intercooler. Its mearly a device to eek out a little bit more highway MPG. There is no detriment to removing or trimming the system and your turbo will thank for the extra cooling.
  11. What is your dream Ecoboost 2.3 Swap?

See Id have a hard time putting it in the Caterham or Ariel because the 2.3 makes its power so low in the rev range. Id think they would be better with a high reving NA motor (like they do now.) The 944 swapis inspired.
  12. What is your dream Ecoboost 2.3 Swap?

I read a few articles on your builds. All were drool-worthy.
  13. What is your dream Ecoboost 2.3 Swap?

Ha I was waiting for this answer we know who the jalop is now. Next up will be a 2.3 brown Volvo wagon swap (which is not a bad idea...)
  14. What is your dream Ecoboost 2.3 Swap?

The turbo 2.3 sure packs a mighty punch in a small package. Its also one of the very few turbo 4s already set up for rear wheel drive. So the big question if you ended up with a crate 2.3 what would it go in? For me it'd have to be an 03 Ranger. Lighter than the popular 5.0 HO swaps and putting...
  15. So I drove some GTs today...

It also looks like the thread died once everyone became peaceful. Maybe we just need a separate subsection that is just one big epic flame war so we can get it out of our systems.
  16. So I drove some GTs today...

Truth also I forgot how soft the cutch is with the assist spring still in It is so weird to have that power with such a soft pedal. It made for some less than stellar starts which werent helped by the gearing.
  17. Modern Automotive Performance (MAP) CAI Review

I think I'm in for this intake. Its refreshing to see something that looks fabricated not produced. If that makes sense.
  18. So I drove some GTs today...

 Now that I can get behind! I will say I've never driven a GT with a 3.73 rear end. It makes SUCH a difference.
