This sounds really, really good. Much better than I would have expected. A lot of the x-pipe catbacks out there sound like shit to me. But this is just mean.

You guys could always do this in steps, remove the resonator and put the x pipe in, keep the stock mufflers and see how it sounds. Then if its still too quiet, but you want no drone, put on an axleback, or just some straight through mufflers, such as vibrant or whatever, or just delete mufflers altogether at that point.

There's a video on the Facebook page " 2015 mustang s550 group " that someone did a resonator delete with no x pipe nor h pipe just striaght pipes in place, and to me it sounded awesome!

The link you posted for the x-pipe shows to be 3". Is that correct? I didn't think the stock pipe was that large.

Does the removal of stock resonator induce any drone? Also someone change the stock muffler tip yet? I think some nice black 4 inch tip will look nice.

the drone im not sure about cause i havent done this i ended up going with MBRP street, but i think if you can find some nice tips you can get any weld or muffler place to cut off the stocks and weld your new tips

My favorite on the exhaust thread was the FRPP resonator delete/x-pipe and stock mufflers. To me it sounds just right, just a little nasty and the cops won't be looking for you every time you drive by.

Hmm, I wonder just how loud this ends up being.

I'm an autocrosser, and we are limited to 100dBA @ 50ft from the course.

Sure would like to do a muffler delete.

Probably loud. Even some of the full catback systems with mufflers rev over 100 db easily.

Well 100dBA at the car is one thing, @ 50 feet it's probably something else. I'm no engineer, so I have no idea how much it falls off per foot on average.

Sounds good! I wonder if using a universal h-pipe will cut down on the drone over the x-pipe?
