I have read the manual, watched Utube tried everything and cannot get the line lock to engage. What is the main failure point with these systems.
They seem to be way over engineered, it should be a simple system like the one used by racers for the last 50 years. But some Ford engineer decided to complicate what could be a simple system.
Any thoughts on trouble shooting procedure.

It was pretty easy when I did it. Do you have a video of you doing it? That would help us understand. I think engine, trans, and diff need to be at a certain temp too.

What is the OK button procedure? I press the mustang symbol , enter line lock mode, hold the OK button while pressing the brake pedal. Maybe i shouldn't keep holding the OK button.

Yes in track mode, not sure why Canada wouldn't allow line lock, is there some wierd laws that ban line lock, lol, lol
Lol no clue was just kidding.

Only used it twice, 1st time no issues. 2nd time my car was on a slight decline and wouldn't work.

i didnt attempt to do the burnout. mode,TC etc didnt matter. once in the app, hold OK for about 5 seconds until screen changes to show the wheel with the bar going around the inside of it, release OK and firmly press pedal until the graph maxes out (much harder than required to sit in drive), once it changes screen to engaged, hit okay and the abs should pulse, then release brake pedal and do burnout. countdown timer should start from 15

The user.

I'd guess a lawyer rather than an engineer.

Nothing is stopping you from installing one of those systems on this car. Problem solved.

check to see if your cruise control works. If not then you rear hubs are bad and this won't allow you to do a line lock.

You shouldn’t continue to hold OK. The dash walks you through everything step by step. Make sure you’re on level ground. Hold okay. Then press the brake all the way down. It gives the okay message. You’re either missing or skipping a step most likely.

My Mustang has been picky with line lock, but it works. I have to have the brakes pressed *ALL* the way down to the floor, and hold it there until it enables itself. No idea if it's intentional, but I like to think it is. Good way to prevent people from enabling it while driving, I guess, haha.

Quite a few "implied" conditions as well:
